"Good morning." Lexa pierce swung around in her chair to face Shalimar
Fox. "Finally decide to come home did you?"
Shalimar's response was to glare before opening a soda and downing it in one swallow. "What about you? You even bother to go to bed last night."
Lexa laughed. "I'll sleep when I'm dead. Too much to do to sleep." She spun in her chair to face the feral. "Beat anyone up tonight?"
Shalimar narrowed her eyes sometimes she really didn't like Lexa. "Yeah some idiot was beating a lady I beat him doubt he'll be bothering anyone again."
Lexa frowned as if she wanted to say something then changed her mind for a moment they sat silent before she finally spoke. "You know its not a good idea to take your frustrations out on other people especially those who have no idea what your frustrated about why don't you just talk to him?"
"Talk to who?" Shalimar tried to keep her voice even, but she couldn't help the growl that came out at the end of the sentence.
"Brennan," Lexa held up her hands defensively. "Come on Shal, I've seen the way you two look at each other I may not be a telempath but I do know you two like each other."
"I don't like him that way Lexa and -" Shalimar glared at Lexa who had snorted. "And even if I did I'd tell you the same thing I once told Emma Butt out of my personal space and quit interfering."
"Fine but Shalimar your letting a fine thing slip away."
Shalimar sat down leaning back in her chair and frowning for a moment silence reigned. Lexa watched her head cocked to one side. "I. Said. Mind. Your. Own. Business." Shalimar enunciated each word.
"Do you guys think you could be just a tad bit louder." They turned to see a sleepy Jesse Kilmartin leaning against the doorjamb. "I think there are still people asleep in china."
Shalimar and Lexa looked at him then at each other and simply began to laugh. Jesse looked from one to the other. "I see nothing funny here."
"Jesse, trust me no one is asleep in china its in the middle of the afternoon there." Shalimar said wiping her eyes.
Jesse scowled. "Yeah well I was asleep but between you guys and Brennan's snoring." At that moment a sound like a hundred nails on a chalkboard reverberated through Sanctuary. Jesse grinned. "Well looks like I'm going to be up for the rest of the night whose up for a game of monopoly?"
