The Scarred One: Chapter Prologue
Day in, Day out; one by one they vanished behind the barred metal doors at one end of the room, one by one they were replaced; it never changed: the room would be shrouded in darkness. the doors creak open as a set footsteps go through the door, slow and steady. For the next few seconds there is silence as the footsteps continues walking through the room. The footsteps reverberate throughout the room.
Whimpers resound through the room as the set of footsteps stop. a grinding metal sound screeches through the room followed by a bang as something stops sliding, hitting a wall or something.
The next thirty seconds are completely silent. Then a loud squeal and a thump reverberated through the room as one was picked up, while something hit the ground.
The squealing continued the entire time until a loud bang resounded throughout the room, silencing the footsteps and the squeals of fear.
The area was silent until the bright white lights on the roof turned on, blinding everyone in the room.
as they recovered a faint crying attracted their attention, only to gasp in shock.
