Hey guys! So this is my first fanfic, so feel free to leave reviews, good or bad. (: So the first two chapters will just be a intro into the story, explaining the setting, plot, etc. So it won't really have to do anything our main characters yet. Haha, so be patient! So sit back, relax, and enjoy!
Prologue
"Another good night, men, I applaud ye all," said a tall man with a smile plastered across his face: King Dominik Diederich, tyrannical ruler of nearly all of Eurasia. "Conquering all the way to Japan has far surpassed my expectations! Tomorrow, we set out further west. We shall conquer France next."
With a red permanent marker, he drew a red circle around France on the map spread out between him and his army. Europe and Asia was crowded with red pins and markings—symbols of where they have already conquered.
"But sire, shan't we rest for a few days?" asked a timid knight. "Most of us are injured, and it will do no good to further increase the risk of fatalities." Murmurs of agreement filled the room.
"Since we conquered almost all the lands, there is no point," said another knight. "No one can stand in our way. Of course, China and Russia, we haven't yet conquered, but we can travel around them."
Dominik pondered on this for a second, stroking his chin and furrowing his brow in concentration. "Alright then," he said, as the knights collected sighs of relief. "We set out next Wednesday."
Shortly after, Dominik found himself in an old cemetery. The moon casted eerie shadows amongst the gravestones, which were white and washed from years of weather. He wore a cloak as it billowed behind him while the wind blew, and concealed inside it, was The Death's Skull.
No one was aware of what he was going to do that night.
As Dominik stood at the very front of the gravestones, he suddenly fell on both knees. Sticking his hand inside his cloak, he retrieved the old human skull. He clasped it between both hands, and held it up into the sky.
"I need a bigger army," he faintly whispered to himself. "The Death's Skull!"
The skull bursted with gold light, and a wave of energy slammed against King Dominik, forcing his cloak back. Leaves scattered violently as the oak trees rustled. With no help whatsoever, the skull's mouth opened widely, and purple light erupted from it, enveloping the gravestones.
Abruptly, everything calmed, until moaning made its way into Dominik's ears. It didn't shake him the least bit. He only stood calmly and stared as the earth started to loosen. The gravestones cracked and disintegrated as rotting flesh began to erupt from the ground. Arms were the first to peek out as they anchored themselves to the earth's surface. Then the rest of their bodies were pulled out from underground.
What stood before King Dominik was a whole army of cloaked dead bodies, coming back from the dead.
Author's Note: How was it? Feel free to review! Feedback is appreciated! (: Many chapters are soon to come. :)
