Cabbage Patch Kids

"Honestly, who has a cabbage patch doll at your age?" Blair suddenly says out of the blue.

"You're still on that?" Dan replied flatly.

He rolled over and faced Blair. She snuggled against the pillow and even with her mussed brown hair with only a sheet to cover her naked clad body.

Blair managed to remain dignified with that notorious Waldorf smug. "Well, Humphrey, to put it bluntly that's one of the reasons you were crowned the name 'Lonely Boy.' Only lonely guys that muse over which section of the public library to cover play with cabbage patch dolls." She batted her eyelashes mischievously.

Dan raised his eyebrows. "Well, I guess that explains that. But, I recall you having one yourself." He shot back!

Blair laughed, cynicism steeping through. "From my childhood and its less weird since I'm a girl. I don't recall it being normal for boys to ask Santa Clause dolls."

"Cedric was a gift and was one of my childhood toys. Whatever." Dany leaned in close to Blair, extracting the sheet from her hold.

"Hey!" Blair squealed. She snatched her end of the sheet, clutching it to her chest. "Someone could walk in and see!" she huffed. "I'm warning you, Humphrey!"

Dan rolled his eyes at her idle threats. "Fine, fine."

Blair pouted and she reached up to Dan's bookshelf and snatched the cabbage patch doll. "It's quite silly for you to keep Cedric."

"Really?" Dan said, eying her cautiously. Knowing Blair, she was always up to something and she, at times, can be quite unpredictable.

"In fact," as she continued. "I think you should give Cedric to a more eligible owner that will keep him in better condition. You know these dolls aren't easy to come by anymore."

"I don't think that's really an option."

"Oh? Why not?"

"Because-um-because Cedric is better off here where he's always been." Dan smiled as Blair raised a defiant brow.

"Oh, is that so?" She smiled. "We'll see about that." Blair's lips curled into a secretive smile. She raised the sheets and pulled Dan to her and the sheets hid them from view.

The End.
