Disclaimer. I don't own Battlestar Galactica.

The starlight falls tenderly on her face

as she chases the blackness of space.

She is the flaming angel of light

roaring slowly underneath his sight.

She is the warrior while he is the enemy,

both sworn to kill each other.

Both marked by death yet undetermined to face death,

for she is shadow while he lives in darkness

Her name is life, while his death

she would die to defend the people she love,

but he seeks to love, while many love her.

She is pain, odium, delight and adore,

He sees as all and more to live and learn.

She is special, one born to both sides,

he shall carry her along as protector and lover.

In the initially moment that he saw Kara Thrace, he understood who she was, and he from that moment that she was special. She wasn't like the other humans on board the Galactica, but then again, he considered, with her inheritance how could she be?

Only few of the cylons recall the seventh model, who's name was Daniel by their creators, as he was wipe out, all except for one survivor. He had escaped and concealed himself among the people of the colonies, always on the run, always be cautious. Daniel had remained among them for a long time and no one knew of his fate.

The first time he see Kara he see something proverbial about her only to realize the truth which takes some time as he she learns more about her and her family. She says her father's name was Dreilide Thrace, but Leoben knows better, but won't say anything as Kara detest him enough before now, it would achieve nothing.

He learns that she will not appreciate and keeps the information to himself and looks on lovingly when she does something that reminds him of Daniel like painting or playing the piano as Daniel did in the past. She is the embodiment of Daniel at these periods of time, however her anger, mistrust and self-destruction doesn't correspond her to being Daniel's daughter.

He wishes he can tell her, about her father without the need to kill her and let himself love her as no one can.
