"Mckenna! I don't want to get my nails done!"
I said pleading to her in front of the nail salon.
"Come on Sammie! We just got done with our finals and we need to relax, plus I'm paying"
Mckenna said making her point. I think about it, then roll my eyes as we walk inside. The salon was absolutly beautiful,
with calming music playing, plants everywhere, and a waterfall in the back, like a rain forest theme. Mckenna signed
us in and we waited in the waiting area. Soon an asian woman came around and smiled at us.
"We are ready for you."
She said nicely. Mckenna and I said thank you and followed her up some steps, about 3, to the petacure area. Me and
Mckenna sat next to each other as the lady filled the tubs with warm water, then put the blue water coloring dye in
it as we put our feet in. The woman walked over to Mckenna.
"I will be doing your feet."
Then the nice lady walked over to me.
"The boy doing your feet will be out in a minute."
A boy? I thought, I said okay and smiled. The lady got her supplies together. Mckenna looked over at me.
"Ooo.. a boy"
She said with a wink. I just rolled my eyes.
All of a sudden, I start hearing yelling from the back room. I look at Mckenna then focus my attention to where I herd the
yelling. It was 2 male voices, one sounding younger than the other. I couldn't understand what they were saying
because they were speaking in Korean. The woman getting the supplies together starts shaking her head. I decided to speak up.
"What are they yelling about?"
I asked her. She looks up at me.
"The man who owns this place has a son, he wants his son to go into the family bussiness but his son wants to be a dancer."
As soon as she said dancer, I look at Mckenna. Mckenna gives me smile.
"There he is now"
The asian woman said. When I first layed eyes on him, he definatly didn't look like a guy who works at a nail salon.
Jet black hair with part of it died green and wearing a neon shirt with black cargos, green suspenders and purple
high tops. He came over to me and started working on my feet, he didn't say a word.
"I think it's really sweet that you stand up for what you believe in."
I said. He looked up at me and smiled.
"How did you know?"
I smiled at him back.
"How would you like to come dance with me sometime?"
