Chapter one

Steve walked on the beach knowing that his life was going to change in a matter of days. Kono was pregnant with their first child and she was due in day now. He did not hear Danny walkng down to the beach.

"hey man, I have been looking for you." Danny said as Steve turned and smiled at him. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah I am fine." Steve responded to him.

"No you are not. You are nervous." Danny replied to him

"It's my first child so I am sorry that I seem like I am a little nervous." Steve revealed to him.

"Don't be. I was the same way with Grace. It's natural." Danny responded to him. Either of them knew that Kono was coming down to the beach.

"What are you boys talking about?" She asked her husband and their partner.

"Hey, you are supposed to be in bed." Steve said walking over to his wife. She hated when he act like that but she knew he was just being protective for their baby and herself.

"I know but I can't help myself." She responded back to him.

"I want you to get back in the bed please." Steve responded to her.

"Steve, a little sun light is not going to hurt either me or this baby. Just relax. I know what the doctor said that I need to rest but I can't live in a bubble." She said to her husband as he gave her a small smile.

"Alright but only for an hour." Steve said to her as he gave her a small kiss. Danny knew that there was no point on making her change her mind. He is glad that Steve is finally learning that.

About five in the evening and Kono was starting feel more pain around her stomach. Steve and Danny were playing with Grace in the beach. She had to try to get his attention since she was sure that today would be the day that they would have a child. It was a miracle baby since it had taken them about two years to have a new baby. They had a pregnancy ended in miscarriage about a year ago.

"Steve!" She yelled for him as she hit with another labor pain.

The minute that he heard his name being yelled, he looked up and saw his wife bent over in pain. He ran up there and check on her. He knew that she was in labor by how fast they were coming. He picked her up and took her to the hospital.

Around 11 at night, Steve and Kono welcomed their first child, a little girl whom they named Kia.
