Rose Weasley: September 1st 2017- 9 AM

Today was the day, and Rose Lavender Weasley was being surprisingly calm. So much so to the point that her parents asked her if she were feeling alright. Of course she was feeling alright. She felt splendid actually. Unlike her cousin, she wasn't worrying about where she would be sorted in no more than 10 hours from now. Rose wasn't any personality type in particular. She was kind, brave, ambitious, and was always filling her brain with more and more knowledge. If given the choice she would choose any house but Gryffindor. She did NOT want to be in the same house as everybody else before her had been (except for Louis who was placed in Ravenclaw and Molly who was a Hufflepuff) because in Gryffindor she would be overshadowed by her parents and the professors would have expectations for her to be just like her parents. Nope. Rose Weasley refused to be anything but an individual, not just "another Weasley". These were not thoughts that she shared with others though, because she knew that her dad was hoping for Gryffindor. So she just acted like she was positive she would be sorted into the place where the brave dwell at heart, as to not arouse suspicion at her unusual tranquility. She only wished Al would calm down. Now all Rose had to do was prepare to see her high-strung cousin, 2 hours from now.

Albus Potter: September 1st 2017- 10:20 AM

Seven hours and forty minutes. Merlin's robes. He would have to be in one of the four houses. WHICH PRETTY MUCH DETERMINES HIS FUTURE. Albus knew he wasn't a true Gryffindor. He wanted to be where he truly belonged. But how would his parents feel? He grew up in a Gryffindor style nursery for Merlin's sake. He knew things had changed since his parents went to Hogwarts. Now you only had to sit at your house's table on the first feast, holiday feasts, and the last feast. Which to Albus, sounded very nerve-wracking considering his anxiety disorder. He would have preferred assigned seating rather than having to find a seat himself. What if he sat with the wrong people? Who would be considered "wrong people" he didn't even know. Hogwarts had also added combined common rooms and study rooms that were open to all house. Its was like there were multiple clubs now where there were once abandoned dungeons. Albus somewhat wished Hogwarts was what it used to be like, where you were practically assigned friends. Still your house seemed extremely important, so Albus tried to look on the Brightside, if he were in Hufflepuff, maybe their quidditch team wouldn't suck so much anymore. ;)
