Mabel tried her hardest to ignore the popular blonde who was crushing her perfect party spirit. But it was growing difficult as the night dragged on. Mabel adored Pacifica's dress, but she thought it would look cuter with a big kitten on the front.
She also noticed how Pacifica's eyes sparkled when she sang. Her voice wasn't perfect, but it was still great. Mabel was staring at Pacifica's perfect body when she felt a tap on her shoulder.
"What are you looking at?" It was one of the girls from Pacifica's posse. Mabel felt heat rising in her cheeks.
"Oh nothing, I uh-" Mabel said, thinking up an excuse. "I was just checking out the competition." Which was somewhat true. Mabel just wanted to gain Pacifica's approval somehow and then maybe-
I like boys. I like boys, Mabel tried to convince herself. She just thought Pacifica was cool. It didn't mean she was in love with her or anything. Mabel shook it off and continued enjoying the party.
She hung out with Grenda and Candy and tried to have a good time. Mabel looked around for Dipper, noticing that Wendy was sitting alone. Where was her goof of a brother when Wendy was free?
There was a shrill cry from upstairs that only Mabel could identify as her brother. When she got upstairs, Dipper was still no where to be found. He's probably going over his over complicated list-y thing, Mabel thought. She stalked the upstairs hallways in search of her brother but was shocked at what she found.
"Pacifica?" The blond turned to face Mabel.
"What are you doing up here loser?" she said. Mabel blushed.
"I was looking for my brother and I..." her voice trailed off as she watched Pacifica viewing her reflection in a nearby mirror. She felt compelled to say "you're perfect" but kept the thought to herself.
"Are you just gonna stand there?" said Pacifica. Mabel, feeling a bit conflicted walked closer to the girl.
"No, I'm not," she said, placing a hand on Pacifica's shoulder. The super popular girl was slightly offended that Mabel thought she could touch her. But before she could stop her, Mabel planted her lips on Pacifica's cheek. "Uh, I'm sorry," said Mabel, preparing for the end of her social life.
Shockingly, Pacifica smiled. "Do it again," she said. Mabel placed her free hand on Pacifica's cheek. She felt the brunette's warm hands and blushed a bit herself. She brushed her lip's against Mabel's and wrapped her arms around the slightly shorter girl's waist. Pacifica whispered in Mabel's ear. "I won't tell." She walked into the bathroom, leaving the quirky girl behind.
Mabel made her way back into the party, replaying the kiss over and over in her head.
I like boys. I like boys.
