My life was a daily routine. Every day at exactly 9 o'clock my parents started their nightly verbal fights. They thought that my brother, Elliot, and I couldn't hear. Well they were sadly mistaken. We could hear every single word that they fired at each other. You would think being the daughter of the town mayor, life would be sweet. But considering that my father is too busy "playing around" with his mistress, my mother only cares about drowning her sorrows in a bottle of vodka, and I have to take care of my Autistic brother by myself. I'd say life pretty much sucks.
It wasn't always like this. We were once a very happy family. But all those memories seem like an illusion. We would do all the things every other family does, like going on outings, having family meeting and spending time with each other. But no, in reality, we can't stand being in each others presence.
The first look at my family you would think that we were perfect and that's what my parents want me to think. Outside, in public, you would think that they were the most in-love couple that you would find. But alone you could feel the hate for each other rolling off their shoulders. All my parents care about is their reputation and that, it stays intact. As long as that's ok they don't give a flying pig about anything else.
I wouldn't call my school and social life much better (not that I actually have a social life). I was your average student. I wasn't popular but I wasn't a loner. I guess you can call me the in-betweener. The only actual friend I had was Erza Scarlet. She was the quirky, fun, crazy, gorgeous red haired cheerleader every girl wanted as their friend and every guy wanted as their girlfriend. With her long wavy red hair, hazel eyes, small face and curvy body, you didn't have to wonder why. It was a wonder that she considered me her best friend since grade school and stuck with me even when she got the title 'head cheerleader'. Unlike her, I had dull blonde hair, my eyes couldn't choose between blue and green and my body, well that was another story.
I had just finished biology and walked over to my locker to throw my books in when someone covered my eyes
"Guess who?" It could only be one person.
I put my books in my locker and turned around to be greeted by a perfect smile.
"Hey Erza," I said with a frown on my face. She knew I didn't like people covering my eyes. They were one of the most important sense organs.
She frowned back at me and put her hands on her perfectly rounded hips, "What's wrong?"
I sighed and closed my locker before walking in the direction of my car with Erza following in pursuit.
We had been driving for a good five minutes until she brought it back up.
"Is it your parents?" she said straightforwardly
I sighed again, "yeah," I said thinking back to their most recent argument, "And Elliot is acting up again. If he's like this now I'm scared of what he will be like when he gets older."
Erza gave me a sympathetic smile and nodded her head understanding.
"So you know Loki, soccer captain right?" she asked suddenly
I nodded my head keeping my mouth shut wondering where this was going
"So he's having a party tonig-," she had said enough.
"Hell no, I'm not going," I said immediately.
With a pout on her mouth she said, "Come on please, just this once."
Her eyes where pleading me to say okay and her lips pouting even more.
"Fine," I finally caved in, "But only if you say the magic words," I said with a evil grin.
"No don't make me say it!" she said with a fake gasp.
"Say it or else you will be going to that party alone tonight."
"Oh great and wonderful Lucy Heartfilia, your beauty out shines the greatest queens and princesses, your beauty has no bounds, please go to this party with me!" she said in a prayer stance.
"Okay now that's settled what time and where do I meet you."
She squealed in my ear, "Just make sure you're at my house by eight so I can dress you."
I gave her an are you serious look. "I'm pretty sure I can dress myself."
"And I'm pretty sure that if I let you dress yourself you would come in jeans and a band tee."
She had a point...
"Okay you can dress me but nothing with holes except for the arms, legs and head."
"Dammit, fine but you have to wear heels."
I shook my head
"Wedges?"
I shook my head again.
"You know what, we will decide this later, just get me home woman!"
I should have stayed home that night, if I did I probably wouldn't have the Grimm Reaper's son following me to every corner and some random dude trying to harvest my soul and last time I checked I wasn't harvest season. Well people always did say expect the unexpected.
Tell me what you think please. should i continue?
