I consider myself a pretty normal person, but I dont think others would agree. Not my mom, dad, brother, or sister, my dogs might not even consider me normal. Thankfully I don't have to be alone, we all share the same abilities (some more than others), and when the time comes we get to shine. For now though I just have to wait for my letter to arrive.

I jumped awake, startled by my little bratty sister yelling my name. I think I had a good dream but I honestly can't remember much. All I know is I better move and tell Holly I'm awake now or I think my ear is going to burst.

"Marley! Marley! Wake up!" She yelled, her voice echoing through my head. I groaned, all I wanted to do was sleep.

"I'm awake! Can you stop now? You know I bet you're louder and more annoying then a banshee." I mumbled as a tumbled out of bed, feeling the cold but yet warm carpet beneath my feet. Holly rolled her eyes at my comment and skipped down the stairs to breakfast. I slowly dragged my self to the window, hoping for some fresh air. 'Why won't you open?!?' I thought to myself as I struggled to get it open. The thought of food soon over coming my desire to open the window.

I stumbled down the stairs Pepper nipping and running around my heels. I can see Holly allready sitting down and eating her pancakes, and her long brown hair done up int to braids on either side of her sholder. It's hard to believe but yesterday I turned eleven years old, along with my brother Theodore. 'Wait a sec where is Theo?'

Mom? Where's Theo?" I groaned trying to make my voice sound awake and not like I was just pushed out of bed by my sister. Which surprisingly was hard, I need to buy an alarm clock or beg my mom for this object called a iPhone 6. I'm probably just gonna get an alarm clock.

"Theo? He's out side again, I told him he is definitely going to get spotted by a no-maj eventually" mom said sounding exasperated which made sense since she's been trying to get Theo to stop becoming a bird every morning, for years now. I walked outside finally starting to wake up, and realised I wasn't wearing any shoes and now the wet grass was making me cold. 'Oh well I need to wake up anyway' I said to myself. I looked for a white bird that had a black spot over the cap if his head. I walked down the field a bit longer when I saw him sitting on our bird feeder. He glanced at me and flew over and sat on my head.

"Oh come on Theo, can we go inside now my feet are soooo cold." I said practically whining about it. He rolled his eyes, at least I think that was an eye roll. He jumped off my head and transformed, I looked away, it bothered me looking at him when he changed form bird to human. He nudged me and once again he was in his white shirt, jeans, and black beanie.

"You scared Marley?" He mocked in a loving way. He smirked as we walked back home, every once in a while talking about what he did this morning. Theo always loved birds, my first memory with him he became a bird and flew into glass. I thought it was funny, until he lifted a bookshelf and spilled the books on me. Acorrding to my mom none of the books hit me, and that's when she realised that both of us had magic. After that we moved to a tiny village that had some wizarding family's there too. Our best friend, Roman lives across the street, his whole family are wizards and he has lots of siblings to play with.

As we walked up the stairs of our house I realised my feet were so cold, they felt like ice. I hopped inside wanting breakfast so bad now. Holly greeted me at the door, and she looked annoyed. If she lectures us I think I'll throw a rock at her, or maybe a bookshelf.

"Morning guys. I have two things to tell you, wait no three things. One, your letter is here. Two, you missed breakfast and mom has cold pancakes for you instead. Three, Roman wants to see you." She ended almost moaning with every word.

"Umm, Holly that's four things, not three." Theo commented with a hint of annoyance. I sighed, knowing we have replayed this many times, each time gettting more angry.

"No, the second one was one whole thing, not two separate ones!" She growled, her eyes glowing with rage. I don't know much about beasts, but I'm pretty sure she looked like a horned serpant or a doxy. Wich in my books should deffently be avoided, like Holly right now. Me and Theo walked inside trying to avoided Holly, along the way. First we sat down with Mom eating cold pancakes, which pretty good even though they were cold. As we were eating mom handed us our letters, which I read as fast as possible barely being able to belive what just happened.

"Did you get the letters?" Someone asked. I turned around.

"Dad!" I said excitedly. My dad was almost never home since he was always working, so it was very exciting when we saw him. He traveled around the world to help wizards and witches in different countries. He used lots of different kinds of travel to make such long distances, but it was hard to find one that would safely get him here without being seen.

"You know it's not to late to go to Hogwarts. We would have to pack and leave in like an hour, but it's still do able." He said slightly nodding towards my mom. My mom was British, but my dad thinks that England has a better education system. He's been begging us to move there forever, but my mom likes it here since it's a big county and doesn't rain as much.

"No, I think were good!" Theo replied quickly. "Me and Marley should be going now, Roman wants to see us. Bye!" Theo said as he jumped up, grabbed a pancake, and walked out the door. I followed him out the door, sun blinding me as I walked forward.
