Kanmuri Shigeru was bored.
In fact, he was supremely bored.
More bored than mere lowly boredom - he was bored beyond the limits of boredom - his brain was literally dying, cell by cell, from the complete and utter boredom-ness, he - !
"Want a cookie?"
Kanmuri Shigeru looked up.
A large bag loomed in front of him, mouth wide open to reveal piles of Mini Rainbow Cookies.
Shigeru blinked, then blinked again.
The bag descended and a head popped up to reveal one Asusagawa Tsukino
"Want a cookie?" she repeated, munching on said snack.
Shigeru suddenly noticed how pink her pink her lips were, thin and delicate, a lusciously pale pink.
I wonder...
Quickly he snapped out of it as he realized she still stood in front of him, expectant, her head cocked to one side.
How cute...
"No thanks," he said.
"Really?" she said, tilting her head the other way (Awww...) "OK, then" she walked off, sitting opposite him on the rectangular table and continued to consume.
Shigeru kept his gaze down on his notepad, on the elaborate plan he was supposedly going to do ( this heat really wasn't helping), but he found it soon straying. Inevitably, before he could help himself - or even realize it - his eyes were drinking in the sight of her.
He'd seen her eat before, of course he had, but he'd never realized...how, well, cute she was when she did. His eyes softened as he noted how she ate - sometimes popping them in whole, others delicate, neat little bites - the way she sometimes licked her fingertips and how her tongue flickered out every so often to chase away stray crumbs - her tongue was slightly pointed and glistened pink as it simultaneously moistened her rose petal lips - the way she still managed to get crumbs on herself all the same. He laughed to himself as he saw just how childish but seriosly cute, so adorable she was.
Suddenly, he was no longer bored. In fact, he felt rather mischievous, kind of daring, rather devilish.
He got up and walked up to her.
Stopping beside her, he said, "Ah, Tsukino-san, you seem to have a few crumbs there."
"Hm, where?" she reached up, wiped at her face.
"No, not there...Here..let me get it for you."
"OK," she looked up, innocent, naive, unsuspecting. Her eyes widened and she froze as she realized how suddenly near he was. Eh?
He cupped her face, his own nearing by. The pad of his thumbs stroked her baby-soft cheeks delicately, his breath ghosted over her lips which she licked nervously. Her heart began to pick up speed, her muscles felt like mush as she sat there, unable to do anything. Slowly, her eyes slid close of their own accord...
Some time ticked by.
Huh?
She cracked open an eye.
She opened both and looked up.
Kanmuri Shigeru stood in front of her, smiling as always. "I think I'll have one actually."
What?
"Mmh?" she said quite intelligently.
His smile broadened and he held up a Mini rainbow Cookie. "Cookie," he said. And walked away.
Tsukino stared after him, rooted in shock. Unbidden, a blush in a million shades of red rose.
WHAT?
I'm a terrible person who often strays far from the original canon pairings. Still, I'm just going to have to deal with it - and this is one way how! A short oneshot, I thought it up ages ago so please forgive any immaturity or inexperience in it.
Pure silliness, isn't it? But I love it all the same, as one of my first ficcy ideas.
