"So, not only will Gaara's Fourth Company be facing the reanimated, unkillable Sandaime Raikage, Nidaime Mizukage, and Yondaime Kazekage, all of whom we were able to sense in our convenient blob of chakra, but also the Nidaime Tsuchikage, whose powers make him almost impossible to sense?" Tsunade stated as calmly as possible, which, given the circumstances, was 'not very'.
"Unbelievable," stated Onoki, feeling younger than he had in years – but not in a good way. "For Mu to have come back, along with three other Kages of such great power..." He trailed off, unsure as to how even a grand shinobi army could face such strength.
His thoughts were interrupted by a cry.
"Reports are coming in from Darui's First Company. They're facing a great number of reanimated shinobi!" cried Ao, focusing as hard as he could on the enormous blue blob in front of him.
Messengers began to flood into the room with reported sightings.
"Akatsuki member Kakuzu!"
"Hizashi Hyuga!"
"Asuma Sarutobi!"
"Dan Kato!"
"Ginkaku and Kinkaku!...and possibly a bit of the Kyuubi!"
Ay could barely slam his fist on the table fast enough to express his anger, though he made sure not to break it yet. That could wait for at least another few minutes, given how many surprises had been thrown up already.
"The Fourth Company is facing my old man, and the First Company is looking at Kinkaku and Ginkaku...now that it has come to this, I have no choice but to go out there myself." stated the Supreme Commander. "But I know you think I'm too rash, so how about we ask the brilliant military advisor of the Hidden Leaf?" Ay turned his head towards the figure in question.
"What do you say?"
The figure stared blankly for a moment, lost in an array of lovely, wonderful, delicious thoughts involving fighting.
Then, a feral grin appeared on his large, brown face.
"LET'S GET WILD!"
As Gaara watched his men throw themselves into battle with total abandon, lacking any form of coherent strategy whatsoever, he pondered.
He suspected this kind of thing only really worked if you were Naruto, and although he aspired to be like the blonde boy in many ways, his lack of strategy was not one of those ways.
If only it was he at the head of Allied Shinobi Forces, and not the Raikage. Perhaps he could've talked some sense into everyone.
What he really would've needed, though, was his lifelong friend at his side. Alas, he was long gone, sealed by the Akatsuki, his mellow voice and cool thinking now only in the young leader's memory.
But Gaara was sure he had a plan. The pony-tailed beast always had a plan.
The Kazekage looked up to the skies.
"Shikaku...I will find you...and with Naruto, we will rescue this world..."
