Mike stood in the parenting section of the bookstore, overwhelmed by the sheer number of books there. He looked at titles and prices before just stopping and sighing.

"First time?"

"That obvious?" He looked over at the woman with a smile.

"Written all over your face."

He chuckled, "I have no experience with this kind of thing so I thought a book would help some. If I could just pick one."

She walked over to the one of the shelves, pulling out a book. "It has details of the baby's weekly progress and things to help the mother."

"Thanks, I should head home. Need to walk the dog or she'll eat more of my socks."

The woman chuckled before heading further into the store while Mike took his purchase up to the cashier. He paid and headed out toward the apartment, a smile spread across his face.
