The Reason
As Lindsey watches Danny walked into the Lab, she wished that she could just run up to him, tell him how she felt and everything, but she knew that right now that was just something she couldn't do. She was broken, and she needed to be fixed before she could let Danny into her life.
I'm not a perfect person
There's many things I wish I didn't do
But I continue learning
I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go
That I just want you to know
During the trial in Bozeman, Lindsey's thoughts kept drifting back to him. As soon as she was able to close this haunting chapter in her life, she would be able to open the next, and what a chapter it would be. She also knew that if she had not met him in NY, that she might not have the confidence to be here today, to finally put the man that haunted her dreams away for good.
I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
and the reason is you
Lindsey walked out of the courtroom the day that guilty verdict was read with such relief. She was able to move on with her life. Lindsey was so busy with her thoughts that she didn't even look in front of her. Suddenly she bumped into something and heard the one word that made her heart skip a beat.
I'm sorry that I hurt you
It's something I must live with everyday
And all the pain I put you through
I wish that I could take it all away
And be the one who catches all your tears
Thats why I need you to hear
"Montana"
She looked up and saw the face of the one and only Danny Messer staring down at her. She was so surprised to see him here in Montana at her trial that she began to cry softly. Danny ran his finger across her face catching the tears as they fell and pulled her in close to him.
I've found a reason for me
To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new
and the reason is You
Lindsey stood at those four graves and told them that now they could rest in piece. The murderer responsible for their deaths was now held accountable for them and no one else would have to suffer the same way that they did. Also by putting this man away she was able to change the closed-off person that had been. Now she could open her life and let some one in. As she turned to walk away, she saw Danny waiting for her by the car. She walked over and told him that she was ready, ready to be with him.
