A/N: I'm back! I'm working on a new chapter for Strange Lands and I thought I'd fart out something to let everybody know I wasn't hit by a bus or anything. Anyone remember Hoopy the Hoop? No? Didn't think so. Whelp, I'm going to show you who he is and make you find the ending to Portal on YouTube (which I DON'T OWN) to fully appreciate him. Just in case this isn't clear, I DON'T OWN PORTAL OR PORTAL 2 OR VALVE. On we go!

Hoopy remembered being on the set of Portal. He remembered talking with GLaDOS , the turrets, and the cores about their lines. He remembered the lady who never talked, but not her name. Most of all, he remembered Gabe Newell telling him how he would be more popular than all of them. That he would have coffee cups and pictures on the internet all about him. And he remembered how that never happened. Everybody remembered GLaDOS and the lady, even the cores, but not him.

Back when they were filming the ending of the game, he got to jump down in front of the camera and roll around. Once, he landed on the camera and almost broke it, but nobody was mad. He never knew why. The day the game went live on Steam, Hoopy was very excited. There was a big party for the whole cast, and he remembered how much fun it was.

Days, months, years, Hoopy waited for Mr. Newell's promise to come true. It never did. He remembered the blue eyed core come to his apartment. They talked about how neither of them were remembered, and they found friendship. One day, the blue eyed core visited, telling Hoopy about a letter he received from Gabe Newell himself about the second Portal game. Hoopy never got one. The blue eyed core told Hoopy he'd do his best to get Hoopy a place.

The Blue eyed core did not fail, and managed to get Hoopy multiple places in the new game, Portal 2. He got to be in the most exciting scene (in his opinion) in the entire game, when GLaDOS came back to life. He got to be in the 'Turret Sabotage' scene, even some of the testing scenes when the blue eyed core, who was given the name of Wheatley, took over the facility. He even got to be in the ending. Hoopy was sure that he would be remembered, that the director's promise would come true. It never did.

Nobody was really sure what happened to Hoopy after that. A few of the editors said they saw him appear in random scenes, peeking out of a panel or behind glass. Beta testers said they saw him in their custom chambers. Programmers said that his virtual counterpart was in EVERY level, sometimes out of bounds or in tiny and inaccessible rooms not connected to the chamber, impossible to remove. Theories began forming that Hoopy had, in frustration, somehow traveled into the game, never to leave, and is still waiting for somebody to appreciate him as he was promised. Hoopy knows about those theories, and how true they are. He watched players sprint through chambers, speed running, and some walking around, even staring at him for a few seconds. He is still waiting, 4 years later, for the recognition he deserved.

He still never got it.

He probably never will.

A/N: OOOOOOOOHHHHH creepy… this was going to be a lighthearted story, but creepy sounds better. By the way, Hoopy the Hoop is that hoop that falls from the sky after you beat GLaDOS in Portal. He rolls around a bit and stuff. Now does anybody remember him? Look it up if you have to. Point is, Valve expected him to become a HUGE meme. Never happened. Anyway, this is my 'Hey guys I'm not actually dead, but I'm awful busy so here's some filler' story for now. Thanks for reading!
