"And now, at the top of the hour, we bring you our top story, where it seems that a registered sex offender is being given a second chance at life. Lead Journalist, Princess, had the latest.
Princess: "The Western community of Jasper Park, Canada rejoiced today as Daniel Vaga, a convicted sex offender with a long history of sexual assault against young pups was released from the park's penitentiary den today after serving only three out of his ten year sentence because he, as local Warden Hutch Bouvier so eloquently put it, "saw the error of his ways and walked out of here a changed man."
"He never showed any signs of perversion to the other inmates and had undergone extensive rehabilitation courses which yielded results the likes of which none had ever seen," recalled the proud Warden, "so, of course, we had to get him before the park's committee to plea for parole."
"Daniel's plea was heard and unanimously accepted by the city's justice committee and early this afternoon, he walked into the world a free man."
"We were all so overjoyed to have Daniel returned to the community," mused Kate Glover, a local mother of three, "and since the justice system is confident that he has changed so am I." Then she added with a laugh. "I actually trust him so much that I am having him babysit my pups tonight while Humphrey and I go celebrate our anniversary."
"Daniel tells us that he is both flattered and honored that he has gained such fidelity amongst the park so quickly and that it has inspired him to open and manage a daycare den where he can watch over its pups and keep them safe for the rest of his life, but for now, since he is still trying to get back onto his paws, he will stick to a life as a babysitter, so that he may "both touch the pups and be touched by their kindness and learn as much as he could about them before making their care a profession."
"We have actually received word that a local group has founded a program to help ex-sex offenders such as Daniel get back on their paws by providing them with everything they need to fulfill their dreams.
