Astronaut

Jaxon Lopez had had a bad week. He'd gotten into a fight at school, been suspended for a day, had his teacher yell at him, had an accident because his teacher wouldn't let him go to the bathroom, and had gotten sent to the office for being disruptive.

So why on earth were his moms taking him out for a fun Saturday?

"I have questions," he said from the backseat.

"You sure your eggs didn't get switched with Berry's at that hospital, Q?" Santana asked.

"Hush, S. What's up, little man?" Quinn asked, looking back at their son.

"Why do I get a treat today? I was bad at school."

Santana sighed and glanced over at Quinn.

"Baby," Quinn said. "You weren't bad. You were defending yourself when you got in that fight. That kid should've been expelled for bullying you and those other kids long before this."

"Okay…but then I got in trouble in class too."

"Only because your teacher's a twat."

"Santana!"

"Sorry. Don't repeat that, buddy."

"Your teacher has issues with us…me and Mami, I mean. He likes to take them out on you, unfortunately. You didn't do anything wrong."

Jaxon nodded, and fiddled with his seatbelt strap. "Can I go to that special school with Rory and Alice?"

"In one more year, yes," Santana promised. "Okay, we're here."

Jaxon looked out the window and gasped. They were at the new planetarium.

The aerial view of the moon directed them to the parking lot, and by the time Quinn opened his door, Jaxon was shaking with excitement.

"Come on, little astronaut," Santana said. "We've got to get signed in at the space station."

He took her hand and followed, all thoughts of the week forgotten.
