Title: The Isolated Mind
Rating: K+
Disclaimer: It's my poem, but not the whole franchise thing. I'm 15, who would give the rights to someone my age?
A/N: A rather dark poem (if you interpret it that way) of the effects of being alone for so long in your mind. This can refer to both The Doctor and the Master. Please comment on it, I haven't written anything on here for a while! It's a poem remember, so it's up to you what you see in it.
Don't come near me,
No one expects you to.
Me.
Constantly in a room
Full of noises and memories.
I am alone. Trapped inside.
-
Yell across the room,
No one will reply.
You.
Looking out the window
Watching the unknowing world.
They don't see you.
-
Walk out the door,
No one will notice.
Me.
Glancing in the mirror,
It doesn't show
What I can see.
-
Go down the stairs,
No one will catch you.
You.
Finding the exit
You grasp the handle,
Breathing in the crisp air.
-
Run across the street
No one will stop you.
Them.
They never saw you.
Looking into the shattered glass,
I see us
One last time.
And so it comes to an end. Do let me know what you think-constructive criticism is very welcome, I'm not used to writing at the moment and there's plenty of time to get better. I know the poem's a little unusual, but it came to me while I was thinking in bed so I needed to write it down and this is the result!
