One Big Happy Family
Cole rolled his eyes as he saw Nix and her 'babies'. She'd insisted on him visiting them and since she had complete control over him, he'd obeyed.
"He has your eyes." He greeted sarcastically, gesturing to one of the nearby swamp monsters.
"And your smile, baby." She replied as a smirk appeared on her face as she watched a grimace appear on his as he looked at the broken face where a mouth once once.
"So I've got Kuo and Zeke out looking for Bertrand again. We'll have him soon." He felt uncomfortable to be talking to someone about anything other than the business of finding and killing Bertrand/The Beast, so he simply never did it.
"Really, Demon? You gotta talk about them?"
"Well actually I was hoping that we could escape all that for a while. Throw some cars around, make ourselves some icemen popsicles. Whatever." He listed a few deadly activities since he was aware she enjoyed those sorts of things. Another smirk appeared on her face and she got closer to him, moving her hips forwards as she went.
"There are a lotta ways we could spend some time together, baby." He started to lean in to kiss her but she teleported before he could reach her. He coughed a couple of times to get her post-teleportation smoke out of his mouth. A loud, roaring laughter from behind him interrupted his choking. "Not yet, Demon! You gotta earn it first." He shook his head a couple of times before he gave chase to her.
The following 15 minutes involved cars, explosions, swamp monsters, ice and a grand total of about 200'000 volts of electricity. Not necessarily in that order. By the end of their shenanigans, both Cole and Nix were sat on a rooftop panting to catch their breaths.
"I feel... So... Alive..." He panted, a large grin imprinted on his face along with grime and dirt.
"I think you earned a reward." Nix muttered as she edged closer to him. He barely noticed until she was practically on his lap.
"Yeah. I think I have." He leans in and their lips connect. Considering she has control over fire, her lips are colder than he'd expected. Their mouths moved together with a burning passion more intense than being hit by one of her grenades. She started to move on top of him and his hands moved to her waist. He wasn't gentle. His fingers started to dig into her waist and the kiss intensified. Just before he could lift off her shirt she vanished from underneath his grip.
"Not that far, baby. We got kids to think about. We's all one big happy family now Cole." That familiar smirk once again shows on her face before she teleported away from him, escaping him once again.
