Johnny Storm was known for many things. He was the Human Torch, he was a part of the Fantastic Four, and he was probably best known for his experience with woman. However there is more to Johnny Storm that meets the eye.
"So your back from your date finally." It wasn't a question, just a statement that Reed made as he heard the youngest member of the team come home. Reed heard the sound of something thudding against the ground and smiled. The lights came on in the living room and there stood Johnny.
"Jeez Reed. What are you trying to do give me a heart attack?" Reed smiled but said nothing. "What are you doing up this late anyway? Where you waiting up for me?" Reeds smile got even bigger.
"Why would you think I'm waiting up for you?" Reed asked innocently.
"Call it a hunch. And the fact that you were sitting in the living room, in the dark at three in the morning might have something to do with it. Now why were you waiting up for me?" Reed laughed but then got serious.
"It's Sue." Hearing this Johnny groaned but Reed continued anyway. "You really shouldn't stay out this late Johnny. Do you know how worried she gets?"
"Reed I have heard this all before for the last I don't know how many years. I'm a grown man and I can take care of myself. Alright?" Johnny went to go to his room but was stopped as an elastic hand grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back.
"No Johnny it's not alright. You leave at eight in the evening, you go to the dirt bike stadium and mess around on those death traps until about ten thirty, and the you go to the closest bar to find a chick to knock up. A chick whose name you won't even remember in the morning. Now you tell me how that's alright."
"Fine Reed. I go out to the stadium because it is something that I love to do. It gives me a thrill and I get to hang out with a lot of the friends I only get to see when I go. Not to mention that I have been doing it for the past six years."
"Still, you go out to the bars and get drunk as hell-"
"Reed I'm over the age of twenty one, so it really doesn't matter if I do that or not."
"What about all those girls?" Johnny hesitated. "What, no lame excuses?"
"No it's just -"
"It's just nothing. Stop with the excuses and just tell me the truth." Johnny was still hesitant and when he did speak his voice was quiet.
"Fine you really want to know the truth?" Reed nodded his head. Johnny laughed. "You're not going to believe me."
"Try me."
"Alright. I'm a virgin." Reeds mouth dropped and literally hit the floor.
"You're a what?"
"A virgin."
"Wha- the gir- What?"
"I've never actually had sex with any of the girls I meet at the bars. Normally I will take them out and we will talk and that's it. Talk. I tell them that if we did have sex that I wouldn't remember them in the morning and I ask them if they really want to risk getting pregnant by a guy who won't remember them."
"Well Johnny… that's… very mature." Reed couldn't believe the words coming out of his mouth.
"Thanks Reed."
"Does Sue know?"
"No. I've never had a real girlfriend so I think she just expects me to… you know. Nobody knows. I have a reputation to keep."
"Don't worry Johnny I won't tell anybody." Johnny smiled.
"Thanks Reed." He turned around to go to bed but froze. There, at the door way of the living room was Ben and Sue, both looking very shocked at what they both just heard. Johnny felt the heat start to rise to his checks and turned to look at Reed. He looked just as surprised to see them as Johnny. Johnny turned back around and looked at them. Slowly a smile crept upon Ben's face and he got an evil look in his eye.
"Johnny's a virgin? The boys down at the press are going to have a field day with this one."
