Harry always had those bad dreams, dreams of duels, dreams of a curse missing Ginny by an inch or Hermione, Ron and him on the run, far away from Ginny. And when he woke up, he was always disoriented and felt so lonely, but then he would realise that he is a married man and that Ginny was right there in his arms, quietly sleeping with her head on his chest. His heartbeat would slow down and after watching Ginny sleep peacefully for a bit, he would drift off again. When he woke up and Ginny wasn't there, it happened more than once that Harry ran through the house, scared, with his wand out and looking for Ginny. When he found her he would always look so relieved and wrap her in a hug. Ginny often said nothing and held him tight. She knew what it felt like having those dreams. When he was calmed down she would ask: "Breakfast?" He would nod and she would prepare breakfast while he watched her silently, not letting her out of his sight for a while.
This night he had a particular bad dream. He had just heard on the radio that Ginny tried to steal the sword of Gryffindor and he was very worried about her. Suddenly he stood there, seeing how Ginny got punished, making her write with that quill Umbridge always used and then he heard Snape say she and the others was never allowed to leave the Astronomy Tower, that she never was allowed to see her loved ones again. Harry wanted to do something, save her and the others, but his feet were glued to the ground, the words coming out of his mouth making no sound. He could see the tears running down her cheeks but there was nothing he could do, he'd never see her again. Suddenly he felt a weight on his stomach and he became aware that he was lying in his bed. He opened his eyes and what he saw was making his heart burst with happiness. On his stomach was sitting his 3 year old son, trying to wake him up and grinning widely when he saw he succeeded.
"Good morning, little man!" He greeted his son.
"Daddy!" James said and wrapped his tiny arms around Harry's neck. Ginny was at the door. She was smiling at her two boys.
"Breakfast?" She asked. Harry nodded and scooped the little boy up in his arms and followed his wife downstairs, a joy filling his heart as if it was the first time he laid eyes on his family.
As Ginny was making breakfast, Harry sat at the table with James, reading him his favourite book, James listening attentively.
As she was setting the food on the table, she quickly kissed his cheek.
"You know I'll always be here." She said. He simply smiled.
Harry started eating when he looked up and saw Ginny smiling in an unusual way. He cocked an eyebrow in question.
"It's confirmed, we are having another baby." She said, glowing with happiness. Harry's eyes filled up with tears at once. He had the perfect family, at last.
