Jonas sighed heavily. They had made it. He and Gabe had finally reached civilization. The lights sparkled all around him, glowing vibrantly with various colors.
"We've made it Gabe!" Jonas nearly shouted in excitement. He dragged Gabriel to a door on the side of this dwelling, and proceeded to pound on it until an answer came.
"Yes?"
======Chapter 2======
A few months had passed and Jonas had become a full member of this community. Most people had some physical handicap, unlike Gabe and himself. However, he felt significantly better here, as there were hardly any government restrictions here. Jonas saw Christopher walk a few feet in front of him.
"Hello," he greeted happily.
"Hey there Jonas." There was a boy standing next to Christopher, slightly younger than Jonas.
"And, who might you be?" he asked the boy.
"Mine name be Matt," the boy replied. The language precision side of Jonas forced him to bite his tongue.
"Matt and I are off to another village a couple of miles away, we'll be back soon," Christopher added.
"Farewell," Jonas said automatically and started to walk off.
"Oh, Jonas, one more thing."
"Yes?"
"There might be someone returning with me, someone you may be interested in meeting," he gave a slight wink to Jonas.
===Chapter 3=====
"Hi, I'm Kira," said a girl about Jonas's age. She had arrived not five minutes ago along with Christopher and Matt.
"N-nice to meet you, I'm Jonas," he blurted; the stirrings he once experienced for Fiona were returning. Kira chortled at his word stumble.
"I telled you he eyes be a beautiful blue," Matt whispered to Kira, though it was audible to Jonas. Kira nodded in silent agreement.
"Well, it's getting a bit late, Matt and I will go fetch a meal," Christopher said. Matt walked slowly away with him. Jonas and Kira watched until they were roughly 15 yards away. They stared at each other in silence for a few moments. Jonas took a large breath.
"So, you find my eyes beautiful?" Jonas asked with a slight smirk. Kira blushed; no answer was needed. He slipped his hand around her waist. "Just like you." He whispered in her ear. He then proceeded to kiss her lightly on the forehead.
