Yesterday I saw a picture of a slinky and I had the idea to write a story of someone playing with one. It was just a random idea until I mentioned it to my sister. I asked her which character from the shows we watch would be the most likely to play with a slinky and the first name she came up with was Tony. The story grew from there and turned into this. It's not very good (I wrote in in like 5 minutes late last night) but I had fun with it.

Everyone Knows It's Slinky
"Whatcha doin', Abs?" Tony asked as he walked into the Goth's lab. She was standing at a table building what looked to be a staircase out of various boxes she'd had laying around.
"Hey Tony, watch this." she said. She placed a big metal slinky on top and watched its descent. As it made it to the bottom, she jumped in the air and clapped her hands.
"Cool, can I try?" he asked as he stood beside her.
"Of course." She gave him the toy and stepped aside.
When he sent the toy on its downward journey again, he started to sing the old jingle. "It's Slinky, It's Slinky, for fun it's the best of the toys. It's Slinky, It's Slinky, the favorite of girls and boys."
"Wait!" Abby interrupted. "I have an idea."
An hour and many calculations later, the lab was covered in boxes and cabinets forming a huge spiral staircase and an old recording of the commercial blasted through the speakers.
"You know," Tony said and looked up at Abby where she was standing on a ladder, ready to send the slinky on another trip. "If Gibbs comes down here, we're going to get yelled at."
"No we won't. We are conducting an experiment on the velocity and trajectory of a large coiled spring down a spiral staircase."
"Try telling that to Gibbs. If he understands what you just said, that is." Tony felt a sting on the back of his head. "Shutting up now, Boss."
"Whatcha got, Abs?" Gibbs asked as she let go of the toy. She climbed down the ladder and moved to her computer as the slinky made its journey through the lab.
