Here's my original idea Lucky 7. Hope you like and those of you that are waiting for me to update on my other story. It has to wait. Sorry. I made a contest and no one's submitted yet. Maybe I'll cancel the contest but I also don't want to. I'll have to think about it.

Disclaimer: I do not own the 39 clues or any of the characters.

Madison POV

"L-U-C-K-Y LUCKY 7 MAKE IT FLY!" I heard my team yell behind me. I've always had the number 7 so I consider it my lucky number.

Hey, I'm Madison Holt. I'm a softball player and right now I'm batting. I love that rushed feeling that I get when something is important. My coach, Manny, brought his team here to University Little League. We play all year round and do this enormous workout. I'm originally righty, but Manny's putting me at lefty because I'm so good that the people are going to think I'm older and I shouldn't be in the league, but I'm sure that I'm 11.

Lefty is so hard. When I bat, my hands are placed differently and my swing is slower.

The ball was pitched and it came high up over my head. We're playing the Crazee Sox. The other university team. Another one was pitched and it was coming straight down the middle. I swung and made contact with the ball. It went to third base who wasn't even paying attention and it went right past her.

I made it to second base when the ball was thrown back to pitcher.

Reagan came up to bat. I heard my team yelling "HEY YOU ON TWO! SHAKE WHAT YA MOMMA GAVE YA!" I shook my head. They wanted me to turn around and shake my butt, but that's not gonna happen.

Reagan brought me home and we made all 4 runs that inning. Sooner than later, the game was over and we won 10 to 2.

We walked out of the dug out and Rea gasped.

"He actually came," she whispered. I groaned. I knew what she was talking about. She was talking about her new boyfriend, Ted Starling. An Ekat! Then I realized Ned was probably coming.

Something inside me jumped. I've had a crush on Ned Starling since the clue hunt. When I'm around boys I like, my lucky number 7 doesn't seem so lucky anymore as it's always drawn on my wrist every time it's washed off.

I scanned the place trying to locate the Starling.

"Looking for someone," said someone behind me. I jumped even though I knew the voice as none other, Ned Starling. "Wow, I scared the great Madison Holt. That's a new world record," he laughed.

"I wasn't scared Starling," I replied. "I was just about to do jumping jacks until you rudely interrupted me."

"OK. Right," he rolled is eyes. "So you want to go get some ice cream after your big win today?"

"Um, sure," I said. I turned to Reagan, who was talking to Ted and told her "Hey Rea I'm taking a cab to the house okay. Could you tell Ham that?"

She nodded and went back to her conversation.

I nodded to Ned. "Sure, let's go."

I'm sorry it's short but that's only going to make you more interested. MWAHAHAHA

Please review and if not then I'll get one of my best ninja students on you. Daniel Cahill. Just kidding but seriously, please review. That would be totally boss dude.

Name your stories on your reviews and I'll read. If they have spoilers then I can't read them because I haven't read the second series yet but do mention them so I can keep them in mind when I do read the books.
