She kisses him in the hallway when no one else is looking.

She thinks maybe that's the way things are supposed to be.

::

Sometimes she pulls him into the janitor's closet, or he pulls her into an empty classroom.

Either way she thinks they might be able to be Quinn and Finn again.

::

"What if I told you I think I might love you again?" she whispers against his skin, when it's just the two of them, pressed up together in a dark closet.

He's quiet, other than some heavy breathing.

She's got her hand on the doorknob, when he grabs her arm fiercely, forcing her to face him.

"I'd tell you I don't think I ever stopped loving you."

Their lips crash together and they both skip the next two periods.

::

She twists the ring Sam gives her upside down so she doesn't have to see the diamond anymore.

She notices him notice one day, but he never asks.

She thinks it's better that way.

::

"I think sometimes we're meant to be together," she whispers while they lay in his backyard looking at the stars.

He's quiet for a long time. "They're beautiful aren't they?" he asks pointing up at the night sky.

She smiles at him and whispers a yes.

"Did you know," his voice is soft. "That no matter how beautiful a star is sometimes they burn out?"

"Sometimes or always?" she murmurs laying her head softly on his chest.

"Always."

::

She gives Sam back his promise ring and tells him she's sorry.

In return he kisses her on the cheek and tells her she's going to get hurt.

She wishes she didn't believe him.

::

"I believe in you and me," she laces her fingers through his and he kisses her on the head.

He buys her an ice cream cone and they sit quietly on a bench like a couple of young children until they've both finished.

"I want it to always be like this," she giggles.

His smile doesn't quite match hers.

::

"Hey Finn," she whispers one afternoon when he sits in her room, watching her paint her nails. "I'm really sorry, for everything I put you through last year."

She's not really sure where the apology came from but she knows it's long over due.

He doesn't say a word just nods at her.

"Do you think you could ever forgive me?" the words slip out of her mouth before she can stop them.

He stares at her for a long time before whispering that he doesn't know.

She knocks over the nail polish, red staining the white carpet.

::

It's one of those nights when they're looking at the stars, when he asks her to dance.

And no matter how many times she shakes her head and rolls her eyes he doesn't take no for an answer.

"You are so beautiful," he murmurs while they sway back and forth. Suddenly she feels like she should be crying.

"I don't want us to burn out Finn," she says so quietly she thinks he might not hear her.

He leans down touching his forehead to hers, hazel eyes meeting light brown.

"Me neither."

Sorry the ending is kind of abrupt but I had a much more depressing ending planned out and I kind of like leaving it up to interpretation. Sorry Quinn and Finn are probably way out of character but this was kind of just a quick story I wrote when I saw the adorableness of Quinn and Finn in this last episode. Anyway please review.
