Double The Trouble
A/N: A little one shot in the world of LGL
Rachel doesn't know how she woke up at her Aunt Mary's house this morning. Just last night she was at home in the comfort of her own bed. Now here she was in the guest room of her aunt's house. Sliding down from the bed, Rachel quickly moves towards the door. She opens it just slightly and peeks her head out.
"Mommy?" She calls out. She slowly steps out into the hallway. "Mommy?"
Rachel steps down into the hallway and quickly reaches the bottom of the stairs. She can hear talking from the kitchen. It sounds like her aunt Ellie. Wasn't she supposed to be in Columbus?
Maybe her momma is in the kitchen too. "Momma?"
Rachel stands in the door way of the kitchen. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, Rachel opens her eyes and searches the kitchen. Her mother is nowhere in sight and the half asleep little girl whimpers a little.
It was very unsettling to wake up some where she had fallen asleep. All she wanted was to curl into her mother.
"Oh, Hi, Rach."Ellie smiled to her niece. Sensing that the little girl wanted to be held, Ellie picks the little girl up. Rachel immediately lies her head on the blonde's shoulder. She sticks her finger into her mouth for comfort. Rachel spots a girl about Ellie's age sitting at the table with DJ.
"Hey, Rachel you hungry?"DJ asks his younger cousin.
Rachel nods and lifts her head. "Where is Momma?"
"Your momma is at the hospital with Mary and everyone else." Ellie informs her. "This is my friend, Melissa."
"Hi, Rachel." Melissa smiles at the 4 year old.
Rachel waves in return. They sit at the table and begin to eat their cereal. Rachel doesn't really like normal milk but she eats the cereal anyways. "Auntie is going to have the babies?" She asks to break the silence of clinking glass bowls.
Ellie smiled at that. "Yes, Nana is going to call us when she has the babies so that we can go and drive up there to see them."
Rachel nods and giggles. She could not wait to see her new baby cousins.
3 hours later and the youngest Corcorans have made their way into the hospital room. The new babies are peacefully set into their arms as they sit in chairs opposite from each other.
"Hi, baby." Rachel kisses the head of her little cousin gently. She is holding the girl twin and DJ is holding the boy. Everyone around them is taking pictures and videos.
"Their names are Gabriel Oliver and Avia Grace." Mary tiredly tells them. "Your new cousins and your new brother and sister."
"I love them." Rachel looks down at the sleeping baby in wonder. She had been waiting such a long time for them to arrive and now here they were.
