RAIN.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: RAIN.
Rain pelted downward onto the the Hoenn region causing various areas to metamorphose from innocent puddles into threatening lakes.
Lugubriously gazing into the pouring sky was the former fierce leader of Team Magma. His usual stern expression was that of remorse. His beloved Camerupt had recently drowned within the waters. Such a creature was never to go near water or else risk their mortality. He exerted every last bit of energy attempting to keep her alive.
Unfortunately, the rising waters he so despised were no match and eventually he lost her as the ocean surrounding his base poured in. Such foolishness to even have his base nearby the ocean. What an absolute regrettable mistake he will never be able to amend.
He quietly reflected upon the many years he shared with his Camerupt. He had found her while exploring the areas around Mt Chimney when he was barely a teen. The two practically grew up with each other.
Such a loss was devastating to the leader that he could not quite focus properly. He was unable to notice the waters abruptly rising above his ankles.
He had lost contact with his team and was quite uncertain as to if they were even still alive or not. Lost in thought as the rains increased, the waves soon picked up, each thrash becoming further intense than the last, feeling as though they were a violent shove from mother nature as the ground beneath him quickly disappeared.
Before he had any time to realize the severity of the rising floods, the water had risen to his chest.
Any last strands of hope he had left began to wash away along with his will to survive. He knew his time was up and did not bother taking a final breath as the waters rose over his head. He refused to go out with a pitiful struggle, much preferring for his end to arrive swiftly.
