I wrote this in the car to pass away a few minutes. It wont make you cry or cheer with happiness but that short scene may actually happen in the books (but knowing Rick's work nothing is what I expect) And since I kept on think and think about the further Percy Gaea encounter fight I finally made it a short story.

Disclaimer: not my own ideas blah blah blah

And he looked at the battlefield.

Suddenly it was difficult to breath. Every demigod, Roman or Greek, was fighting for their lives. But looking from this bird eye view he could tell they were outnumbered in every way. Hope wasn't coming to him as easily as before.

He just had to find Annabeth in the mess of bodies, then he wouldn't feel so helpless.

"It's beautiful isn't it."

Percy panically whipped around to find Gaea gazing at the battlefield in wonder. "It's looks like a painting doesn't it?"

Percy's heart stopped. Oh no. This wasn't happening. Not here. Not now. He couldn't remember feeling so alone.

Soon enough, somehow this seemingly inevitable encounter calmed him. If this was the last moment of his life he wasn't spending it begging and crying. He wasn't a scared little boy anymore and Gaea would learn that soon enough.

"Yeah well I guess I'm not a sucker for art then." Percy responded flatly.

Gaea snickered, "you do realize why I'm here don't you? I mean this was not some kind of mistake finding you here. I would hate to surprise you with sudden death. Hardly seems fair."

He scoffed, "oh yes. Fair. Who would you be if you weren't fair?" Percy spat.

She circled him slowly, like an animal closing in for the kill. "You. The great Perseus Jackson is just a bug. You harmlessly fly around in my affairs and annoyingly get in my way. You know personally I think I can avoid you altogether just fine. But the fates seem to think otherwise."

Gears sighed, " It's a minor setback but I think I can spare a couple of minutes"

An evil glare flickered in her dirt brown eyes, "Maybe I'll use killing you as a warmup for your little girlfriend later." She said testily

Percy snarled. A dark anger rolled over him. He charged.

Yeah that was short. But I suck at writing fight scenes so I didn't even bother. But quick read are always refreshing to me. I never like to stick on to an idea to where I cant shake it off when it goes bad.
