I almost didn't do a songfic for Bishop.. After all, he's the most disgusting character in the series just for killing Sam. Still, I honour my promise (to myself, but still) to write a songfic for major characters, so here we are!
I chose 'uprising' by Muse for this, and will do my best to portray his evil side!
Paranoia is in bloom, the PR transmissions will resume. Pushing drugs to keep us all dumbed down and hope that we will never see the truth around.
My my, humans are so stupid. They think their stupid little resistances will get them noticed, that things will change because of them but they won't. They won't even be remembered next month, let alone as saviours of humankind. Idiots! Even days after I took over from my stupid daughter, who has disappeared into a hole, the people began to return to normal. They tried to make their TV broadcasts, write their newspapers and act as if everything was normal. Instead, fear and paranoia spread around town and, if I remember correctly, more people checked into the hospital with mental breakdowns in that week than had ever before in the hospital's history. If that's not an achievement on my behalf, I don't know what is because I allowed vampires to kill those who had brain issues. You don't allow the retarded to remain in your town!
Another promise, another scene, packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed. And all the green belts wrapped around our minds and endless red tape to keep the truth confined.
I may have promised a few things to people. The vampires who fought on my side were promised that they could hunt any human they fancied... I may have lied there, slightly. After all, if every human died in a day, what food would there be?
I also lied to Richard Morrell, the new mayor I appointed after his father died. I told him that things would remain the same for humans - as if that would happen! I am not my idiotically soft daughter who remains incapable of doing anything against people who come shouting for it. Besides Oliver... Until this battle, I had the utmost respect for him. He felt something for Amelie but hid it to get ahead in his battle plans against her, to seize control in England... Pity that she was too strong for him. Yet he is the one person who she will not bow down to, besides me. Shame that they're on the same side against me.
They will not force us, they will stop degrading us. They will not control us, we will be victorious.
Optimism to this degree within humans is astounding. It's as if they think they actually have a hope in hell of beating vampires if they parade around town with their little stakes and bottles of holy water. They actually think they stand a chance of beating over two hundred vampires (and whatever motley lot Amelie has, given even she wouldn't stand by and watch her people die, wherever she is) with sticks - it's like an ant thinking he can take on a lion: impossible!
Rise up and take the power back. It's time the fat cats had a heart attack. You know their time's coming to an end, we have to unify and watch our flags ascend.
The 'fat cat' truly did have a heart attack, in Mayor Morrell's case. Amelie, another 'fat cat' (not literally) has gone and done a runner, leaving me in charge. Their times are at an end - I'm the ruler now and there isn't a chance that I am leaving my position. Until I get bored of Morganville. But there is no chance that a human mutiny is going to get rid of the oldest vampire in existence. Why would they? I'm almost invincible, as my encounter with Amelie has proven. Noone can stop me.
Especially not a bunch of motley humans!
Whew, I could have written more but I was feeling sickened writing as an evil person!
Please review!
