Forever An Angel

Amidst the darkness of this life

Somewhere in between the truth and lies

A figure stands on the edge of my mind

Flying through spaces only I can find

He stands so tall and proud, clad in garments of honor

I wish I could see him for just a little while longer

Hair as black as the ravens wing

And a voice as low as the male siren sings

His eyes are burning embers of passion

Clad in the SOLDIER'S black fashion

His name reminds me so of the angels on high

The very name, Angeal, brings a tear to my eyes

He is so beautiful and proud, a man for all men

And as protective of his pup as any mother hen

What is most unique about him is tethered to his back

Two beautiful angel wings of pure white, not black

But this Angel of the sky says he is not to be admired

Says he is a monster, like ones bound by fire

But he does not look anything like a monster to me

And if he is a monster, I would gladly give up my humanity

Angeal is an angel, with beauty and grace

His laugh always puts a smile upon my face

Sadly, one day, my angel took flight and flew away

Why did he have to die? Of this, I can't say

But it is fitting, I suppose, that now that my angel is not right here with me

Now, he is flying through heaven, with his angel wings

Lost amidst the clouds, he is where he belongs

Because angels that beautiful should only exist in songs

As his pup once said: I want those wings, too

And one day, when my times comes, I'll fly with wings like you

So, fly and be free, beloved Angeal!

Forever never a monster but a pure angel!

Author's Note:

I found the saddest video of Zack, Angeal, and Aerith on line and realized I was totally in love with Angeal! Had to post this immediately.
