It was the first day of kindergarten. The room was filled with little kids. Most of the kids were in groups talking and making new friends, but there was one kid that was alone. The kid was a little boy with short purple hair. A little girl with long blue hair walked up to the little boy.
"Why are you by yourself? Aren't you lonely?" the little girl asked.
"I'm fine by myself and I don't want any friends so leave me alone." the little boy muttered.
"Even if you don't want any friends you need one, so I'll be your friend. I'm Dawn." Dawn said.
The little boy sighed and muttered "Paul."
A year has past and now 6 Dawn and Paul are still friends. The two were at a playground. Paul was leaning up against a tree and Dawn was in the sandbox nearby. Dawn went to Paul.
"Come on and play in the sandbox with me." she said.
"No" he muttered.
"Please" she said.
"No" he muttered again.
Getting annoyed Dawn pushed Paul into the sandbox and he fell into the sandbox.
"Now you have to play" she giggled.
"You're a Troublesome" he told her as he got up.
"No I'm not" she said as she got back into the sandbox.
It has been ten years since then. Now 16 years old Dawn and Paul are still friends and are secretly in love with each other. Right now Dawn was in a waiting room of a hospital with Paul's older brother Reggie.
"I can't believe he tried to kill himself." Dawn cried.
"I hate to say it but I'm honestly not surprised" Reggie added "He's been depressed for years."
"Why has he been depressed for years?" Dawn asked.
"It's because of our parents death. They died a year before you two met. When they died Paul become the cold person you've known for 11 years. You've changed him though. Over the past few years I've noticed that he was opened up a little more and isn't as cold." Reggie explained.
"Really? Why do you think it was because of me he changed?" Dawn asked.
"He loves you." Reggie said.
Dawn blushed and stuttered "R-really."
"I'm not lying. He told me himself." Reggie said.
The doctor came to Reggie and Dawn and said "Paul's awake. You can see him now."
"Go ahead Dawn and talk to him. I'll see how long Paul needs to stay here" Reggie said as Dawn went to see Paul.
When Dawn walked into Paul's room she saw Paul sitting up. He looked at Dawn.
"Sorry Dawn" Paul muttered.
Dawn whispered blushing "Reggie told me you love me, is that true?"
Paul blushed and nodded. Dawn smiled a little and said "I love you too" and kissed him.
Four years have past and Dawn and Paul have been dating in this time. Now 20 Paul and Dawn were in the same park they were in 14 years ago. The two were leaning against the same tree that Paul leaned on 14 years ago.
"Paul why did you want to take me here?" Dawn asked.
"Don't you remember this park?" He asked.
Dawn thought for a few minutes and said "This is where you first called me Troublesome."
"Yep" He said smiling.
"You've sure changed a lot since then." Dawn said.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"You're not as cold and you smile a lot now." She explained.
"True and it all because of you" Paul said as he kissed her cheek.
Dawn smiled and Paul said "I've got a question for you"
Dawn gave him a confused look as he got down on one knee and asked "Will you marry me?"
Dawn whispered "yes" and hugged him tightly.
