Lazily Scarlett flipped through the channels of the large flat screen TV waiting on her father who was supposed to be here an hour ago. She wasn't worried, just restless from being alone for so long in the house alone. Suddenly a loud knock came from the front door making her jump in her seat. Slowly Scarlett pulled out one of the hidden guns from under the couch cushion and crept to the door leaning against the wall haphazardly. The door flew open loudly slamming against the wall ,Scarlett pointed her gun in in half a second ready to shoot.

"Whoa Whoa wait its me Scar!" Her father said raising his hands over his head laughing.

"Crap dad you scared me!" Scarlett said putting the safety lock on the gun so she wouldn't accidentally shoot herself in the foot or someone else for that matter.

"When are you going to start hunting again, I could use your help." Her father said closing the door behind himself folding his arms over his chest. Scarlett threw the gun on the couch with her back facing her father.

"Dad," She sighed before she tried to continue but instead she was interrupted.

"Something big is about to happen soon and we need your help for this." his voice was low and menacing as he spoke. Scarlett turned around slowly with furrowed brows.

"What are you talking abou-" Standing in front of Scarlett was her father with pure black eyes of a demon. Holding back tears, Scarlett stared straight into the eyes of her possessed father.

"So Scarlett! It's an honor to meet you." Slowly the demon walked forward and with every step Scarlett took one back.

"And why is that? Why not just kill me?" The back of her legs hit the couch and Scarlett silent cursed to herself.

"You know I thought you dad here would be smarter and you know...not let himself be possessed by a demon but hey, that makes my job a hell of a lot easier."

"Answer the question." Scarlett yelled making the demon chuckle.

"See that right there." the demon pointed to her. "That is the look is what dad downstairs would love to see. The murderous intent in your eyes, wow-"

"Go to hell." She said as she picked the gun up from the couch aiming it at the demon's heart.

"Aww look at this, little Scarlett is going to kill her own father." She didn't respond but instead she tightened her grip on the gun. "Can't do it can you." the demon taunted.

"Shut up." Slowly Scarlett cocked the gun tightening her jaw trying to be strong as she remembered the words her father told her a while back.

" Demons will use the people you care about to their advantage and all you have to remember is do what needs to be done then be sad about it."

She never thought she would have to ever think about something like that, and here she was in that exact situation. Still she could not bring herself to kill her own father. Tears welded in her eyes as she continued her mental struggle.

"I see we have to work on a few things before our father is here?"

"Your father?" Scarlett asked.

"See you soon Scarlett." With that the demon escaped Scarlett's father's body in a whirl of black smoke. "Dad!" Scarlett dropped the gun and rand over to her father. With shaky fingers, she reached out and pressed them against her father's throat checking for a pulse. She knew that when a demon possesses a human, they don't live but she didn't care. " Dad please don't do this!" The minutes ticked by and soon they became hours of Scarlett sitting on the floor leaning against the couch staring at her father's dead body, but more importantly, she was deep in thought. There was no way she could stay where she was, not ever. She rose from her spot on the floor and carefully dragged her father's body placing him on the couch as if he was asleep and headed upstairs packing her bags.
