Know this now before I start, I have at this moment about 6 to 8 chaps ready but I don't really know whats going to go on after that if you ever feel like you want to make a suggestion go ahead I'm all ears. MEG! Stop bugging me now! My motto is- as long as one person reviews and like it each chap I will always try to update(but that also is true for the opposite )One more thing, the only way I update this story is doing at school so I really have know idea how long it will take from one update to another. So just hang with me!
It was November, and the days were becoming colder. Black storm clouds ominously lingered in the heavens, seemingly content upon scaring everyone of the impending storm. Suddenly, with a flash of light, and a crack that shook the Earth, an ungodly roar ripped threw the air as heaven finally opened its gates to the parched land.
The pelting rain came almost instantly, turning the dried up land into a muddied wasteland. Almost lost in the sounds of night, more noise was added. It started off small, but soon became a loud buzz. The sound of human voices and shouts could be heard within the little mountain valley for only a moment before all hell broke lose. The sound of screams broke the induced depression of the forest as animals raced away from the mountain side. Gun shots echoed across the hills sending the already startled animals into full out runs across the landscape away from the lone forest clearing in the dark woods. As fast and sudden as it had started an eerie silence filled the darkness. If you had not seen some frightened deer still leaping threw the tress, you never could have imagined anything ever taking place there.
It began soft, and as little as a ray of light at first, but something in the forest grew and grew out of proportion until it leaped free of the captivity of the tress and begun to eat upon the land around it. The fire greedily ate upon the dried up dead wood of the forest engulfing it until half the mountain was covered and consumed. To anyone standing at the bottom of the mountain it would have been an impressive sight. It was as if the world was challenging itself, when the gates of heaven had opened to the world, the gates of hell itself seemed to open and challenge its authority.
At the base of the mountain the flames licked across the grass, the ashes and smoke making it almost impossible to see the sky. From the depths of the flames erupted two huge figures. Two huge muscled horses raced among the flames kicking up mud and water as thundered down the hillside. Attached behind them a large coach and a reinforced metal cage. It bumped up and down, its wheels groaning in protest as the horses weaved in and out of the trees along the path. Upon the coach, a man sat flicking the horses repeatedly in his haste and already used up temper. Standing up, he yelled at the top of his lungs at the animals, trying desperately to make his voice heard over the thunder. "Hurry it up, you damn beasts!" The man flicked his whip at both horses for emphases. "You know we gots a plane to catch!" The chortled as he fell back into his seat with a thump.
If you could have looked between the bars of the cage in the back you would have seen a figure dressed in black with a black cape, laying on its side unconscious, covered in blood.
