Author's Note: De-anon from Kinkmeme Minvade20.
Drabble-length is number four, and based on Sadako and the paper cranes. She had a friend named Chizuko who helped complete her cranes when Sadako passed away before folding all thousand of them =[
Chizuko.
Her walk is heavy with time; her hands are the wrinkle of dried peaches. And as always, Kiku wrapped his arms on her weathery body. Once thin, and gazelle-like, Chizuko filled in with flesh as she aged, but shortened, hunched with the years pressed (sitting crosslegged on her back).
Chizuko has grown old, and Sadako will never.
"She never finished the cranes herself." Chizuko told Kiku every year, and this one - their home laced with snow - is no different.
Kiku folded his fingers over Chizuko's. His gray eyes cool like snow; and they say no more of it.
May your quills be ever sharp.
