"Come on Soul open up." Soul looked at Maka his mouth still closed "Soul if you don't drink the cough medicine it won't get better." Soul glared at Maka from his bed. He glared at the spoon then back to her.

"Fine you don't have to drink it if you don't want to; just saying you won't get better." Soul watched as Maka put the spoon back in the cough medicine bottle.

"Really." Maka looked at Souls slightly agape mouth. She slowly took out the spoon making full eye contact with Soul. Quickly she shoved the spoon of medicine in his mouth. Soul looked like he was going to spit it out.

"If you spit that out I will Maka Chop you, don't doubt it." Soul swallowed in fear of a sore head. It had a horrible taste in his mouth, and the after taste wasn't any better. He looked up to see Maka smiling smugly at her accomplishment, Soul just glared at the Mister. He started to get up to get a glass of water but Maka pushed him back down

"I'll get it.," she said as she got up and walked to the door and exited the room. Maka returned a couple minutes later.

"What took you so long?" He looked over and saw she was carrying a bowl along with a glass of water

"Here". Maka said handing Soul the bowl that contained chicken soup.

"Are you going to eat it?"

"No I'm just going to let perfectly good food just sit here and get cold and go to waste." Soul said with a smirk on his face

"Just eat already. "Maka said giving him a smirk of her own. Leaving the room.

It had been a while since Maka had checked up on Soul; last time she had been in there, he was doing fine. Maka decided it was best to go check on him; she stood up and walked over to Souls door and knocked lightly there was no reply.

"Soul." Maka said poking her head in the doorway. He was in bed Maka opened the door more and walked in over to Souls bed looking at the sleeping Soul, Maka put the back of her hand against Souls forehead he was warm, she felt him flinch under her hand. His hand grabbed her wrist before she had time to pull back Souls eyes fluttered open.

"Maka."

"Yeah." He turned his face toward me still holding my wrist still in place on his forehead

"What are you doing."

"I'm checking your temperature."

"Don't you need a thermometer for that?"

"No sometimes you can tell if people are warm and then you check there temperature."

"Ok, still doesn't make since if you ask me."

"Whatever." Maka was about to leave when she realized Soul still had hold of her wrist

"Is there something you needed?"

"I'm cold."

"I'll go get yo…"

"No." Soul said interrupting Maka's sentence and held tighter to her wrist

"Will you stay here." Soul sounded weak and Maka did not want to argue with him at this state

"Ok." Maka said gently sitting on the edge of Soul's bed he let go of Maka's wrist after a few minutes Soul was sleeping again Maka thought about leaving but what happened if he woke up and she wasn't there, would he be mad? She looked at the clock on his bedside table it was 11:42pm It was almost 12pm, she didn't know what to do she looked down at the sleeping Soul, what am I going to do? Soul opened his eyes it was then that Maka realized she was still staring at him.

"Maka." She was woken out her trance like state she had fallen into

"Yeah."

"Are you ok?"

"Yeah, just a bit tired." Soul looked at the clock.

"You did not have to sit here the whole time."

"You asked me to." Soul gave her a smirk and laid his head on his pillow.

"Do what you want; you can sleep in here or you can sleep in here."

"Oh so it's not really my decision." Soul smirked again he felt shifting and then someone crawled across the bed when he opened his eyes Maka was on the other side of him lying there smiling.

"Night."

"Night." and with that they closed their eyes and went to sleep.

Edit: I fixed up a lot, it's been forever I just got this account back. Thank you for everyone who favorite and even the few that followed it means a lot! I will see what I can do about a second chapter.
