Just a quick Nico one-shot. WARNING CONTAINS SUICIDE!
These last few weeks had felt like hell on earth. Nico couldn't help but feel forgotten by the world; everybody had seemed to have moved on from him. If he wasn't being told to shut up he was being ignored outright. He had to almost force himself into conversation sometimes but was eventually drowned out by gossip of the latest TV show or some plan he wasn't invited to. Jason had also left him and so Nico was left feeling like there was something wrong with him. Why else would Jason leave and his friends stop talking to him all around the same time? Had he done something wrong? Hurt them in some way? He didn't have a clue. He still had one or two good friends and his family loved him but there wasn't enough to fill the cold, silent nights. Nobody to protect him from the demons dragging him down.
One night it became too much so he threw on a hoodie, grabbed his dagger and snuck out. He didn't stop until he reached a small memorial garden forgotten by the world. He pushed deeper into the forgotten world until he came to small secluded clearing. He trudged towards the tree, dropped his weapon to the ground and slumped down against the old trunk. He pulled his legs up to his chest and just cried. He didn't know how long he cried but he didn't care he just sat there and racked with tears.
The only thought going through his tormented mind was how sorry he was. Sorry to his friends, his family and Jason. He was oh so sorry that he wasn't strong enough anymore. He couldn't keep this facade up anymore and he didn't want to. He looked over at his dagger that seemed suck the light away like a black hole. He picked up the old blade and just stared at it. Slowly, he pulled up his sleeve up to his elbow and gently placed the black blade against his pale wrist. With a final deep draw of breath, he pressed the tip of the blade into his skin and drew back slowly. He hissed in pain but it didn't amount to the turmoil he felt inside. He stared at the wound as the blood poured out and fell upon the cold earth beneath him. Growing desperate he cut again and again and again until his vision began to cloud. He just sat there, drowning in blood but a small smile spread across his face. The last thoughts going through his mind were of his friends, family and how he can now finally rest. No more feeling alone; no more sorrow only the peace of death.
