~Me And My Sparrow~

The sky is clouded, no moon tonight
The sea rocks violently with all her might
Lightening flashes thunder rolls
Waves crash against the Pearl taking their tolls.
The Black Pearl has been anchored,
The sails taken down
The wind blows furiously
So loud that you can hear no other sound.
The cabin's door opens,
Then is shut tight
My lover approaches
To keep me company all through the night.
His clothes are soaked,
His wind blown hair as well
His deep brown eyes look calm
But he is tired I can tell.
He quickly undresses
Then gets into bed
He snuggles close and holds me
His chest against my head.
I feel the warmth of his flesh
And close my eyes
I think about him my love,
And not the skies
We both lay their silent
Never speaking a word
Are love is the strongest
And never has to be heard.
Thunder breaks the silence
As lightening flashes over sea and land
My eyes snap open
As he takes my hand
His presence comforts me
He tightens his hold
He calms me and tells me to rest
I do as I am told.
I close my eyes
My head still against his chest
Then I feel the rhythm of his breathing
And start to rest.
For as long as he is with me
I shall never need to fear
Cause he shall protect me
And when I'm scared hold me near
We are lovers to the end
Even when life's path gets narrow
Sailing on the rolling sea
Me and my Sparrow.
