Clary POV

"CLARY GET UP NOW OR YOU'LL BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!," my mom screamed. Ugh, school, didn't I just go like two days ago. "FINE" I yell. I grab my favorite pair of black skinny jeans, my gorgeous green ripped up t-shirt, and a pair of combat boots. To top the whole outfit off I grabbed my leather jacket. I come thudding down the stairs to grab a banana and I grab my keys to my Harley. And I am off to school.I push open the principal's office to demand he change my detention date. But instead of two empty seats I find that they accompany a very hot golden boy and a middle aged golden haired woman. "Clarissa what are you doing in here? I have a meeting," my step-father says.

"Well Luke I was just wondering if I could change my detention dates you so ruefully assigned me".

"Clary you spray painted your name on the back school wall!"

"Well I have an art show that Saturday".

"Okay I will change it to this Saturday"

"Thanks for everything!" I reply in a sarcastic happy voice as I stomp out his office.

Jace POV

I was sitting in my new school in the principal's office talking about my grades when suddenly a red haired girl in dangerous looking clothing walks in. She demands to the principal (whom she called by his first name) that he change her detention date. He for some reason agrees. I wouldn't want this bad girl to get her way.

Clary POV

After I got out of the office I joined my favorite girlfriend in the entire world, Izzy.

"Hey girl" I call out.

"What's up?" She replies

"I just saw one of the hottest boys in the world in Luke's office"

"Oooo is he new?"

"Definitely, he would have slept with me already if he had been here before"

"Are you sure he's not a nerd like the last cute new guy"

"I don't know we will have to check during lunch"

Time skip to lunch

I go down to sit at my regular middle table in the cafeteria. As usual there are a couple of guys who totally think they have a chance with me. Izzy comes up behind me and screams "shoo, shoo ugly boys" which makes me start cracking up.

"Have you heard anything about the new boy?" I ask.

"Of course I'm Isabelle Lightwood, Gossip Queen! Well apparently his name is Jace Herondale and at his old school he won the MVP of the football team. He also got a scholarship to come here because of his high grade point average."

"Ahh man he sounds like a goody two shoes"

"Clary maybe you should try to date a nice guy and see where it gets you."

"Hello? Hello? Is my friend Izzy in there, the one who helped me pop the bus tires on a half day so the bus kids couldn't get home?"

"Yes yes your danger loving friend is still in here but you and I should both try it you can get Jace and I will find one of his friends"

"Alrighty then! Am I still coming to your house tonight?"

"Yep"

"See you tonight then"

Maybe me dating Jace won't be a bad thing, I think as I run to my next class.

Jace POV

After I got out of the principal's office I went to my first class. I watched as that red haired girl named Clary walk down the hall with a tall black haired girl. Clary looked gorgeous and dangerous, girls that Jace never could get to notice him. I am a nerd and proud, I think. Haha not. I sit down next to a boy with brown shaggy hair with glasses. I introduce myself as Jace and he says his name is Simon. I hope he and I will become friends.
