When Kousuke Seto gained control of his ability, he had decided not to use it anymore. Invading the minds of other people didn't suit his gentle nature a single bit. It he wanted to know more about others, he'd do it by befriending them, understanding and bonding with them.

Today was a slightly cloudy day, the sun was hidden every so often. It was still beautiful, for the clouds balanced out the blue sky. It was the month of June, it was finally summer. The gang was out getting ice cream, all except for Seto, who remained at work.

"Sorry you had to work Seto, we'll save something for you.", Mary had told Seto. "When you get home, we can finally be together!"

Today, Seto was working at a convenience store. He stood at the counter, happily watching the customers laugh and exchange words with each other. It was like Seto had fed off the happiness, for his own pleasure. It wasn't like that though, as a child, he never got along with others. Actually, it was more like nobody wanted to get along with him...

A young girl, the age of around 10-11, looked up at the taller male. She was a brunette, in her hands were several bags of chips. Seto didn't question why she held so many bags of chips, chips were chips. "That'll be 6.89$" (Using US currency as a short cut ; ;)

The girl reached into the pocket of her dress (yes, her dress had nice little side pockets) and pulls out 1 5$ bill and 2 1$ bills. "You're probably thinking I'm just a fatty and I'm buying all these chips so I can eat them all like a pig, right mister?"

Seto's smile turned into a frown. "What do you mean? I'm sure you have friends to share it with right?" He chose the wrong words.

"I actually don't have friends." The girl looked down at her flats, which had small flowers embroidered on the straps.

"There's nothing wrong with not having friends, but it's better to have friends." Seto tried his best to comfort the girl. He tried to make a connection, being able to know her thoughts without using his cursed eye ability.

"I suppose so, mister.", the girl murmured. Her turned her head and started walking.

"Oh! Erm... Wait a second!", Seto spoke out to the girl.

"Did I forget my change, mister?", the girl said as she turned her said slightly towards the counter.

Seto shook his head. "It's not that. It's just that... how about we be friends?" (No Pedo)

The girl smiled. "R-really? S-sure!", she stuttered with excitement.

The girl returned everyday Seto had a shift at the store and they had a friendly chat as he worked there.
