She paced the halls, wondering what to do. There were so many ways to say that she wanted to spend time with Anna, to make up for all the years lost. Still, none of them seemed right.

Bumpy ice coated whatever her foot touched, and the air dropped ten degrees. Elsa did not even notice.

"Elsa! Are you sure that we can go ice skating in here? This hallway is pretty narrow."

Elsa broke away from her thoughts. "Oh, Anna!" Her face flushed red. "This? It was just a little accident, nothing that you need to worry about."

Anna nodded. She was carrying a pair of ice skates.

"You're going skating?"

"Yes, Kristoff, Sven, Olaf, and I are going. Want to come?" She pointed out a nearby window. "I already see them! Come on, they'd be happy to see you!"

"Actually, I was hoping that the two of us could do something together. You know, just the two of us, alone."

"I see. Well, why don't we do that after this? It's a nice, snowy day, and there's more than snow enough to go around."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"After this, once we've finished up, do you want to build a snowman?"

Somehow, they had managed to have a snowball fight on ice. It had been Anna and Elsa against Kristoff and Olaf; Sven had stood to the side and watched. Elsa had an advantage with her ability to create snowballs at will, and Anna was a fast skater with a good aim. Still, Kristoff and Olaf would not give up that easily. At one point, Olaf had gone so far as to throw his own head.

"It's time to get my head in the game!" he had yelled.

By the time it was over, everyone was red faced and laughing. They went their separate ways. Kristoff and Sven had some business to do, Olaf wanted to go play with some children in the village, and Anna and Elsa had their snowman to build.

"We're going to make you and Marshmallow a friend, Olaf!" Anna yelled.

Finding a large, untouched field full of snow, the two went to work. With Elsa's help, the two started to make the base for the snowman. Rolling up the second part, Anna hoisted it on top of him.

"You know, I could just make him instantly." Elsa watched her sister's face turn red.

Anna gave a heavy sigh, but she grinned anyway. "Yeah, I know. Still, it's fun this way." She held up her arms. "Look at these muscles! Kristoff and I will be facing off in no time."

Elsa laughed.

"Now," Anna said, "we get the head."

The two rolled the ball together, then put it on top. Anna composed some feet for it from snow, then grabbed two nearby sticks for arms.

Anna ripped off her scarf, then pulled a few buttons off of the front of her green dress as well.

"Anna!"

She grinned. "Hey, what's so wrong with that?" She stepped away from their creation. "Hey, Elsa, could you do the magic?"

"Yes," Elsa said, "yes I can." Without any hesitation, she raised her hand, then focused on the snowman.

That night, Olaf was running around with his new friend, Anderson. Where Anna had gotten the name, Elsa did not know. Still, Olaf seemed to like his new friend very much. Sven would probably really like him too.

"Hey, Elsa," Anna said. She had two cups of steaming hot chocolate in her hand. "Want one?"

Elsa nodded. "Thank you." She usually was not one for hot drinks, at least if chocolate was not involved.

"I wanted to thank you for today; I'm so glad that you suggested that we spend time together." She grinned.

"Oh, it was nothing."

Anna quickly leaned forward, meeting her lips with her own. Her lips tasted like chocolate.

"Now," her sister said, "how about we play some checkers? I'm too tired to do much else."

"Yeah, checkers," Elsa responded. "That sounds like fun."
