Dull. If there was one way Son Gohan felt on this day, it was dull. The way the sun shone in the sky, it was almost as if the gods were mocking him. The other students at Orange Star High were baffled that their normally cheerful peer would be depressed on today of all days. The seventh anniversary of the day that their hero, Hercule, had saved the world in the Cell Games. For Gohan, it was the anniversary of his greatest battle and his greatest failure. He, an eleven year old boy, had managed to ascend to unseen heights and reach a second level of Super Saiyan, and defeat the greatest threat the Earth had ever seen, Cell. Unfortunately, his sudden influx of power caused him to grow cocky, and led to a series of events that ended with his father dying.

In the following moments, Cell returned, regenerating from a single Cell, and Gohan managed to defeat him. In the aftermath of the Cell Games, Hercule Satan claimed credit for the defeat of Cell, and the world readily believed him. None of Gohan's family or friends felt the need to expose him as a fraud, as they were content with a life of peace and quiet. Gohan was seriously beginning to regret that decision when he was forced to sit in a high school of Satan worshippers, and listen to the self-proclaimed strongest in the world give speeches. One of Gohan's friends, a girl by the name of Erasa, decided to see what was wrong with him.

"Gohan," She began, "What's wrong cutie?"

"Nothing," He replied, "It's just that today isn't a good day for my family."

"You can tell us about it, we can help you?"

But Gohan knew he would never be able to. Not without sounding like a freak and being sent to a mental institution. He would never be able to tell any of them about it.

"Thanks Erasa, but I would rather not talk about it." He said.

"Oh." She said, unsure of what to do.

At that moment, the teacher walked in with a TV.

"Hello class, as you know today is the seventh anniversary of the Cell Games! The day our hero saved us from the terrible tyrant. As a treat, we will be able to watch Hercule give his interview on Z-TV today. He will be talking about his fight with Cell."

Gohan snorted at that, which got him looks from the rest of the class. The teacher then turned on the TV, and the class began to watch.

"I know what you all are thinking, 'Hercule, what happened after the cameras went out at the Cell Games.' Well that's what I'm going to be telling you today. After the cameras went down, I got fed up with all their tricks and I walked right up to Cell and I..."

Suddenly, an explosion went off in the background, and wall broke apart as Hercule was cut off. Hearing this, Gohan picked his head up off the desk and turned to face the TV. Then, a cool laugh was heard, one Gohan knew all too well. He wondered if he fell asleep and he was merely dreaming in class about this.

"What did you do to me Hercule? Did you run behind a rock and cower in my perfect presence? I do believe you soiled yourself at some point during my games."

Hercule could only sit there and gape in shock. Cell had returned. At this point, Gohan was up and shaking in what looked like a mix between fury and fear.

"Seven years ago, I was bested by the best fighter tis planet had to offer. Now I'm back and I have truly achieved perfection. Go to where we fought, within the hour. Go alone or I will rip everyone you care about limb from limb while you watch on helplessly, like the scared little child you truly are. Remember Gohan, I know everything about you."

At this, everyone in the class turned and openly gaped at Gohan. Many were in shock, and were unsure of what to do as he slowly rose out of his chair.

"I must be dreaming," a random jock said.

To which Gohan replied, "Then punch me."

The jock did just that, and held out his hand which now felt like it was broken.

"Nope, you're not dreaming" Gohan said.

"Gohan wait, don't go. You could get seriously hurt out there." Videl said.

Videl Satan was the daughter of Hercule Satan, and was the best fighter at Orange Star High. She volunteered at the Satan City Police Department, and she helped the cops when they needed it. Gohan would be lying if he said he wasn't attracted to her, physically, she was a work of art. But what impressed and perhaps attracted him the most about her was her willingness to help those in need, even at her own peril. She was selfless and caring, all while managing to come across as someone with a fiery personality. Gohan had even begun to help her out as the Golden Fighter whenever she needed it. He saved her on many occasions, all while remaining to keep his identity secret. He had snuck out of class many times to help her, always saying that he needed to go to the bathroom, and he would mysteriously disappear for extended breaks during these times.

"You don't get it Videl, I don't have a choice, he will kill my family if I don't go fight him."
"You don't have to, let my dad and the police handle it."

At this, Gohan just laughed humorlessly.

"Videl, Cell defeated the entire army seven years ago with little to no effort. Your dad or the police couldn't even begin to handle him."
"But didn't he defeat Cell."
"I think we both know the answer to that one, I'm sorry Videl."

At this, Gohan began to exit the room, until the teacher stopped him.

"Son Gohan, where do you think you're going."

After standing there for several seconds and failing to come up with a response, Gohan smirked just before saying, "Bathroom," and walking out of the room.

This is my first ever story. Please review with your positive and negative feedback. Let me know if you like the story. Original idea was by Kitsunesmask in her story, Partner. I liked the idea, and am now going to make it into a multi-chapter story if I get enough positive reviews.
