A/N: I use the 2003 turtles full names for example: Leonardo, while for the 2012 turtles I'll use their short names for example: Leo.
A/N 2: inspired by Zelgadis55 since I read one of your Tmnt story called "One to Grow On".
A/N 3: Also I'm starting my own ocs Ninja turtles and they would have AU at the end of their names for example: Leo AU.
Only when they interact with each other.
In 2003 Universe
The turtles are on a mission to destroyed once and for all, the Shredder because at first they realized they did destroyed him with their 1987 counterparts, but was sadly mistaken as they found out a new and deadlier Shredder was out there wreaking chaos with the Foot Soldiers.
"Okay here's the plan" started Leonardo in a whispered but was interrupted by Raphael. "Look 'Fearless Leader' how 'bout we pound these things. So we could let them know that creating other Shredders are bad." Said Raphael while Michelangelo, and Donatello stood up at the same time as Raphael as if to agree with him since they were crouching.
"I kinda agreed with Raph for once, which hurts a lot" said Michelangelo putting a hand to his heart in dramatic, while Raphael hit Michelangelo in the head. "Quit it knucklehead." Said Raphael as the three of them left Leonardo behind, making Leonardo sad but doesn't notice that someone is watching him.
Leonardo just stood there and slowly followed his brothers, just missing his head coming off by the claws of the Shredder. Leonardo met his brothers inside the building. "Hey Donnie, did ya got any new readings on yer doo-hickeys for any new weapons they built?" Asked Raphael while just noticing Leonardo is with them and not talking to them.
"Yeah, it seems similar to that time with the dimension hopping we did with the 1987 turtles." Said Donatello while scanning the area with a device he made and all four of them looked around when they heard a evil laugh.
"Hello, turtles, so glad to finally meet you face to face. I heard great tales about you, turtles. I know your guys weakness, if I killed one of you then the others would be broken inside. I should take out the leader but the question is, which one is the leader." Said the new Shredder while looking at each at them, one at a time, with his eyes landing on Leonardo the longest as if he already knew the answer.
"Turtles, take him out" commanded Leonardo taking out both his katana while the others followed his example. "So my assumptions were right, you are the leader" said the Shredder as Leonardo ran up to him swinging his two katanas at him, but the Shredder moved fast and gone behind him. Just as the Shredder was going to stab Leonardo in the head with his claws, he was stopped by two sais that blocked the finishing blow.
"No one harms my brother." Shouted Raphael while Leonardo gave him grateful look and moved out of the way. The Shredder jumped away from Raphael, signaling the Foot Soldiers to attack the turtles except Leonardo as he would deal with him, which the Foot Soldiers obeyed his command and attacked the turtles except Leonardo, that is.
"So one of us will meet our demise and I promise you, it won't be me, turtle." Said the Shredder facing Leonardo as they are having a stand off for the moment. "We'll see" said Leonardo and with these words, they rushed at each other.
Awhile later after Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello finished beating the Foot Soldiers, they looked up to see how Leonardo was doing. Leonardo looked exhausted while the Shredder doesn't even looked exhausted and kicked Leonardo against a wall, making Leonardo fell to the ground breathing heavily with sweat rolling down his face.
"Leo!" Shouted the three brothers and rushing to help Leonardo as the Shredder came towards Leonardo with his gauntlet out but turned towards Leonardo's brothers. The Shredder walked to the three brothers, while Leonardo stood up shakingly and watched when Raphael and Michelangelo was kicked away from Donatello. The Shredder raised his gauntlet in front of Donatello, making Donatello closed his eyes in preparedness to feel pain. As the Shredder strucked down at Donatello. Donatello opened his eyes, when he wasn't feeling pain and looked forward, what he saw was Leonardo in front of him, making his eyes widened, when he realized that Leonardo is hurt, as Leonardo head started to bleed.
Leonardo stood there, wobbily, for a moment until he fell backwards and into Donatello outstretched hands. The Shredder took this as his cue to leave which he did but not without a Foot Soldier staying behind to powered the weapon that was going to fired at the turtles.
"Leo!" Shouted Raphael and Michelangelo as they rushed towards their fallen brother and Donatello. Leonardo opened his eyes and looked up, turning his eyes to the three of them, starting with Michelangelo.
"You have to promise me something." Said Leonardo in a raspy voice as blood starting to pool on Donatello hands and lap.
"Anything bro" said Michelangelo as he have tears in his eyes, with one tear falling on Leonardo forehead.
"Promise me, your still going to be Mikey, the one that loves comic books, love to fool around,make other laugh and be annoyed with you." Leonardo having some blood out of his mouth, which now have blood just dribbling from his mouth.
"I'll try bro." Said Michelangelo in a tearful voice. Leonardo turned his eyes upwards towards Donatello.
"Donnie, you gotta promise me, that you won't be in your lab all day, remember to eat, don't drink a lot of coffee, hang out with our friends and family, and do not blame yourself for this." Said Leonardo closing his eyes briefly before opening them again.
"Okay, but you know me" said Donatello laughing slightly while Leonardo smiled softly at him before turning his eyes to Raphael.
"Raph, watch the family, you are technically the leader now, don't drink alcohol or anything like that, don't fight evildoers every day, make sure Donnie be reminded to eat, and also control your anger, don't be too stressed or harsh with yourself or others." Said Leonardo now gasping as it is getting harder to breathe.
"No promises, bro" said Raphael with tears silently falling down his cheeks and onto the ground. Leonardo reached a hand to Donatello cheek which Donatello grasped tightly at, with tears rolling down his face.
"My family and friends are the ones that I-" started Leonardo but his voice died away as the hand that's still grasped in Donatello hand as it was on Donatello's cheek goes slack and Leonardo hand went limp. Donatello gently put the hand that was his brother's hand on top of Leonardo chest.
"No Leo" whispered Michelangelo as they all silently grieved for their brother. Raphael put a hand on Michelangelo shoulder as in reassurance that everything will be okay as emotional wounds heal over time.
A foot ninja powered up a weapon which the three brothers just noticed that was aiming at them. Donatello gently moved Leonardo corpse gently on the ground while standing up to join his brothers to face the foot ninja.
The foot ninja acting quickly fired the beam at them which hit them. The turtles feels like their molecules are disappearing, making smoke appeared and when the smoke cleared, the three turtles are nowhere to be found, only a burnt area and a thin smoke appeared.
The foot ninja left the area to tell the Shredder the plan was successful.
In the Turtles Lair.
Master Splinter was meditating but was interrupted by a disturbance. "My son's" said Master Splinter opening his eyes and looking worried.
