#10- Breath Again

Do you ever wonder what it's like to die? To few, the word death could shake a person to the core. Whenever the name of my beloved boss is muttered I automatically freeze, mentally breaking down. I let him die… it's all going to happen and I can't do anything about it…

"Gokudera-kun… are you alright?" Tsuna asked, concerned about his Italian friend.

Said teen responded, turning to the wall not daring to look at the short brunette, "Yeah, I'm fine. Just go on ahead… I'll see you tomorrow."

"Don't forget, we're meeting up at the park around eleven, okay?" He chants joyfully, as he walks up and turns the other's face to meet his gaze.

"You worry too much…" Tsuna muttered as he turned on his heel and walked away.

--

The next morning, Gokudera woke up to find himself laying on the park grass. He sneezed soft and checked his watch, 'Five after eleven?! I'm late!'

He stood hastily, gathering his bag and jacket. Looking down to see that he stayed the night in the park, he scratched his head in distress. He was in no condition to meet up with the tenth. Dressed in something he threw together last night, just to get out of his house last night.

The brunette passed him as he monitored the area, making sure there was no one around, he had to talk to his silver haired classmate desperately.

"Why are you hiding behind the bushes, Gokudera-kun?" Tsuna asked and he bent down slightly. Gokudera felt a strike of agony slash at his heart as he looked up to see Tsuna's eyes rimmed with angry red irritation. He frowned, taking his thumb and lightly traced the irritated skin as he cupped the brunette's face. "I… fell asleep… sorry."

"Were you crying?" Gokudera muttered softly as he stood up from the ground, changing the subject before the shorter teen could ask anymore. Tsuna blinked, then slipped away from Gokudera's warm hand, rubbing his eyes on the sleeve.

"N-no. I… I just…" Tsuna continued mumbling on about, then Gokudera looked for a coast clear, the dragged the teen back behind the bushes.

"What's wrong, Tenth?" He asked desperately, holding onto his boss's hands.

"You don't look at me anymore, Gokudera-kun…" He muttered softly, looking at the grass with saddened eyes. Gokudera's eyes widened in surprise, it was true he could never look at the tenth the same way he had before.

"I know… I'm sorry, I-"He was cut off by the hug tackle that he received as his back landed on the cold, moist ground.

"J-Jyuudaime!" He exclaimed, flustered from the warm of the short brunette's body against his own.

"Gokudera-kun… I-I really like you!" Tsuna muffled from the taller teen's chest.

Gokudera smiled lovingly at the brunette, raising his head, and he leaned in to place his lips over Tsuna's.

"I… love you..."

--

Tsuna intertwined their finger together as they walked back to Gokudera's apartment. He frowned when he saw the hurt look in his eyes. The shorter teen hummed lightly, gaining the attention of the Italian teen.

"You have a lovely tune there… Tsuna." Gokudera said, gripping the others hand lightly.

"Thank you, Hayato." He paused, turning so he had the pianist hands in his own, facing him. "Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift, that's why it is called the present..."

Gokudera smiled, hugging his boss tightly not minding who saw, while the male in his arms blushing deeply, but enjoyed every moment of it.
