Wow... Story number three. Thank you guys so much! *group hug*

Hans

I paced around my cell, hands constantly clenching and unclenching as I tried to block out the meeting going on in a nearby room.

By now, I had probably been locked in here for three, maybe four months. It was hard to tell how much time has passed, seeing as they didn't let me out for anything other than an occasional shower. It was extremely boring, as well as claustrophobic. I couldn't keep still, constantly pacing and looking for some way to escape.

No such luck, though. The Keepers kept this place shut down tight, even though they didn't have a guard keeping an eye on my around the clock.

The Keepers were the whole organization, the reason everything that has happened actually happened. Although it is a very small group, they were all insane, ready to do anything their boss said.

Even kill.

And that's what they wanted to do with Emma. They said she was dangerous, and that she could end all the realms. I didn't believe it for a second.

Then, I found out my brother was one of these crazy people. He was able to strip Emma of her magic, the ability to travel between worlds. To Shift.

Oh, and then he killed me.

And now, they were keeping me here, locked in like a rat, because they brought me back. Or, more specifically, how they were able to bring me back.

I shook my head, bringing me back to the present. I couldn't think of that, even if I did want to distract myself.

Instead, my thoughts turned to Emma. She was back in her world, oblivious to everything. They had taken away her memories of everything. They did the same thing to me Anna and Kristoff before, and we were able to remember. Eventually. But I had a feeling things were different this time.

Apparently, Albert and Emma became close over the summer. It hurt to know that she was practically wrapped around his finger, not knowing anything he did before. It was sick.

Suddenly, a loud yell from the room next to me pulled me back into the present. I stood still for several seconds, debating whether or not to do what I was trying to avoid. However, the temptation was too much, and I pressed my forehead against the cool wall, trying to listen in.

"We don't have time to sit around, then!" I heard my brother say. Instantly, a dark anger erupted in the pit of my stomach, and I had the ridiculous urge to tear down the wall separating us in order to strangle Albert. "If Emma is having these... Flashbacks, then we have to stop them!"

"There isn't a need," a gruffer voice responded. "As long as we don't let anything from her past come back, she'll just be confused. Leave her be."

"Wait," a feminine voice said. Emma's aunt. "What if she does remember?"

"I don't know...! Just a second," Evans said. "What if she does remember?"

"That's what I just said," Amber said under her breath. "But that's not what I meant."

"How so?"

"What if her remembering can go to our favor?" Amber said slyly. As the silence lengthened for some time, she spoke again. "What if we can twist her memories into something different? We can trigger them again somehow, but then morph them into what we want. Maybe she can be on our side."

"Interesting," Albert said coldly, obviously not convinced. "How do you propose we do this?"

"Why don't we take what brought us to this step in the first place. We use your brother."

Shocked, I stumbled away from the wall. It always surprised me, what the Keepers plan on doing. Especially how one of them was directly related to her.

The worse thing was no one had objected to her idea.

They were going to make her one of them. Using me.

...

I stayed quite still for the rest of the day, dreading the moment they would come find me. I hummed quietly, still trying not to listen to the rest of their plans. I had enough information, and I did not like it.

With a jolt, I realized I was humming the song I sang with Anna. The one Emma and I were humming so long ago.

The cell fell silent after that.

A long clang echoed from down the hallway. Heart pounding, I closed my eyes. No matter what, I was not going to let them get to Emma.

"Get up," Albert snapped, unlocking the cell and opening the door. "I know you overheard the plan."

I tried to buy some time. Play dumb. "What plan?" I asked, scowling at my brother.

He laughed. "All right, I'll play along," he said, leaning against the wall. "Amber offered an idea to twist Emma's memories into what we want. She is a very strong person. Powerful. She is definitely willing to fight for what she believes. That would be a huge boost for our organization. You are going to help us with that, unlocking her memories and such. We can do the rest."

"You can't make me," I said, standing up briskly and looking Albert in the eye. "I won't let you get near her. I won't hurt her."

Albert smirked slightly. "Oh, Hans," he said. "You already have."

I inhaled sharply, feeling as if I had been punched.

"You won't get away with this!" Anna's voice echoed in my head.

"Oh Anna... I already have."

I had left her to die. My fiancée back then, one of my best friends now. I hurt her, trying to get control of the stupid throne. When Emma came, she somehow was able to throw off that part of the story, along with a lot of other parts, in order to protect us from what she knew would happen.

"How do you know about that?" I asked softly.

"You forget that I spent a lot of time in Emma's world. I know a lot about it, and that includes the movie plot," Albert said.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked. "You supposedly want to protect the world from Emma's powers. If that was the case, why did you bring me back?"

"Good to know you figured out how that happened," Albert muttered. "Look, we gave you her powers because you can be controlled. We couldn't do that with Emma, she is too wild. Unpredictable. Honestly, it was a stroke of luck she Shifted to our realm, even more so that she fell in love. I've said it before and I'll say it again: people in love can be

so gullible. Especially if their " lover" was in danger. So, we used you! That got rid of the threat. And now we have a whole bunch of opportunities. "

"You want to destroy all the realms," I realized. "You want me to use this... Shifting magic to end everything?"

Albert applauded mockingly. "Look who finally caught on!"

"Why? Why do you want this?"

"That," Albert snapped. "Is none of your concern. Now come on. You do want to see Emma, without the whole hassle of killing her, right?"

...

They agreed to start training first thing in the morning. I kept moving, unable to sleep.

I couldn't shake off the cold feeling that settled in my gut, a sick reminder of what I had to do.

I closed my eyes. "I won't let them get you, Emma," I muttered. "Never."

Suddenly, my eyes snapped open, mind racing. What if there was a way to protect Emma? To warn her, before anything happened?

It wasn't a well thought out plan, but at least it was something. I had to find her, immediately. The only problem... I didn't know how to Shift. At all.

I stared outside of my cell, thinking hard about what Emma might have said about it. Concentrating on where you want to go... And going there was as much as I knew. I decided to give it a shot, concentrating on the wall across the hall.

I felt a warm breeze wrap around me, rustling my hair. I held back a laugh; it was working.

I felt myself almost stretching, reaching out to somewhere, and I could only hope it was where I wanted to go.

Good news: I went precisely where I planned.

Bad news: I slammed right into the wall I was concentrating on.

Bad news 2: Almost immediately, a huge wave of exhaustion came over me, causing me to stumble a little.

Blinking hard and rubbing my head, I sat down. "Come on, wake up," I muttered, shaking my head a few times. "Get it together..."

Still, my eyelids slid shut. The last person I thought of before I crashed was Emma.

...

Groaning, I blinked a few times before looking around. I was sitting on a park bench, outside.

I leapt to my feet. I was outside! It was fairly warm out, but cooler weather was definitely on its way. Still, I closed my eyes and breathed in the fresh air.

A smile tugging on my lips, I sunk back down onto the bench. It was extremely relaxing to just sit there, contrary to the room the Keepers so generously offered.

"Emma!" I breathed suddenly, eyes snapping open. This had to have been her realm. I stood up and turned around in a circle, looking for somewhere she might have been. "Come on I know you're here somewhere..." I muttered. Walking on some sort of trail, I came to a wide road.

"Where are you?" I said to myself, stepping onto the road.

Only a few seconds after, I heard a distant rumble. The noise grew, getting louder and louder, until whatever was making the noise came into view.

"Woah!" I stumbled backwards, stunned as a large silver.. Thing... Came past. "Watch where you're goin'!" A man inside the contraption yelled, disappearing from view moments after.

Breathing heavily, I stared at the spot that thing came from. Then, I quickly jogged across the road, honestly terrified that it would reappear. Thankfully, it didn't.

After walking down the road for a bit, several houses began to appear. My pace quickened, when I suddenly realized I had no idea which was Emma's.

Shoulders slumping, I kicked a rock a few steps ahead of me. I suddenly noticed my clothes changed, but I had no idea where they came from. They did seem very casual.

I kept kicking the rock down the street, hardly paying attention to where I was going. However, after making a few turns, I found myself in front of a rather large house.

I paused, but every part of me wanted to go up the steps. Somehow, I knew it was hers. It was Emma's.

Hands shaking with both nerves and excitement, I walked up to the door. However, before I could knock, a burning sensation started in my arm. Wincing, I looked down to see a faint red mark. I figured I had just scratched it while walking. Reaching up and knocking, I started to get even more nervous. There were several seconds of silence, which didn't make it any easier.

The door opened to reveal a man probably in his mid 40's. "Can I help you?" He asked.

I was struck how similar he looked to Emma. "Um..." I stammered. "Does Emma live here?"

"Yeah. I'll go get her," Mr. Singer said, closing the door again.

I started pacing. The entire thing was really nerve wracking. When j heard the door opening again, I swung around eagerly.

It was her. A wave of relief crashed over me, just knowing she was okay.

"Emma?" I breathed, taking a small step towards her. "Thank God."

"Who are you?" She asked, stepping outside and closing the door.

"You don't exactly know me," I said in a strained voice. "But I think you know my older brother."

"Depends," Emma shrugged. "Who is he?"

My heart seemed to grow heavier every second. I knew she didn't remember, but it was painful. "His name's Albert."

"Oh!" She said enthusiastically. "Your Albert's brother?"

"Yeah," I muttered. I was just about to strangle Albert as soon as I got back. "My name's Hans."

"As in -"

"The guy from the Disney movie? Yup."

"Oh. Well, how can I help you Hans?" She asked, smiling politely.

"Well, um... I'm new to this area... I don't really know anything - or anywhere around here," I stammered. I didn't have a story ready, which was not a smart move on my part. "I would really love you - it! I meant... It..."

I wanted to smack my head into the wall. I was acting like an idiot. "You want me to show you around?" She asked. "I can do that."

"Thanks. Sorry, I'm just not used to this yet."

"Used to what?"

"Nothing," I muttered. I was slipping up too much. "Its nothing. I need to go, but if you can show me around tomorrow, that'd be great."

"Sure!" She said. "There's an park around the corner. Meet me there tomorrow at...?"

"Noon?" I suggested.

"Sure."

"Okay. Thanks again, Emma." I said, starting to walk away.

"No problem!" She smiled, going back inside and closing the door.

Breathing a little heavily, I started to walk back down the road. As soon as I was a good ways away, I envisioned my cell back in the Keepers compound. With a gust of breeze and a wave of exhaustion, my surroundings started to... Well, shift.

Within seconds, I was back in the familiar space I had been in for months. However, it didn't seem as bad. Emma was safe. I could protect her.

Smiling vaguely, I walked over to my "bed" and leaned back with a satisfied sigh. Everything was going to be okay, but I had a feeling that wouldn't last.

I fell asleep rather quickly. I was ready to face the next day, even if that meant facing my brother.

Because I had the upper hand now.

OH MY GOODNESS I AM SO SORRY FOR THE SUPER LONG WAIT!

Things have been pretty rough. Between school and stuff, it was kinda hard to write this chapter. A new point of view, a new storyline. I hope you guys enjoyed it...

Anyways, next chapter will be back in Emma's POV. Any suggestions for the story? I have a pretty solid idea, but I love everyone else's ideas! This can be a gift for you for taking so long on this chapter.

Please leave a review! The more reviews I get, the faster the next chapter will be up.

HUGS AND KISSES LAURYN OUT!
