How Hard Could It Be?

Disclaimer: If I was the creator of this great and illustrious manga/anime/OVA, I wouldn't be typing this, would I?

He was sitting there in front of the boy, sipping his sake while the boy drank his tea. The man finally looked up at the boy.

"So that was the Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryu. I've heard of it, but I didn't know if it truly existed…

"But let me ask you something. Have you ever killed a man with this Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryu?" asked the man, grim.

The boy answered. "No." He continued to drink his tea.

The man stared at him intently, awaiting his reaction. "But… Do you think you could?"

The boy looked taken aback for several, long seconds. He glanced down in shock, as if the floor would tell him the best response to this. He set down his teacup, and finally gazed up at the man.

"If with my dirty sword and the lives I take, I could pave the way for a new era in which all can live in peace- then yes. I will kill for you, Katsura." The boy sealed his bloody fate with those words.

'After all, how hard could it be to kill?' thought the boy.

The 18-year-old boy looked back and realized, that it was all way too easy.
