Marlene McKinnon, the shy girl with the curly blonde hair, and the little rectangle glasses, and Sirius Black, the tall, loud, boisterous boy with the dark hair and eyes that made Marlene fear him a little. She wasn't sure why, he just gave her a sense of danger when she was around him. There was a sense of security, but it wasn't a strong feeling. It was quite well hidden, if Marlene was truly honest with herself. Even though she had never spoken to the boy, Marlene felt quite close to him. And then he walked into her. "Oi! Watch Where you're going, McKinnon!" He snapped, turning around to glare at her. "No, you bumped into me!" Marlene mustered up as much courage as she possibly could to say those words to him. "I don't like you, McKinnon." "Well that's good, isn't it? 'Cause I don't like you either." Sirius laughed, causing Marlene to blush, "You're a one, McKinnon." Marlene curtsied slightly, "Why thank you, Black!" Sirius laughed and Marlene blushed. "Friends?" He asked. "Friends!" She replied. "Well I'll see you at Hogwarts, friend!" Sirius laughed. "Yeah, see you..." Marlene mumbled, feeling a slight pang in her chest as he walked away.
