I do not own Full Metal Panic (FMP). If I did, I would be a very lucky girl.
ALSO this just came into my head, for no reason whatsoever, and probably not my best stuff. You have been warned.
. . .
It's all of a sudden, no warning. One minute he's pelting a crowd of high school punks with a stun grenade, the next Sousuke's on the floor! Kaname, approximately five seconds from exploding, stops in mid war-whoop. Then time snaps back into place, and she's at his side in a second.
His breathing's shallow, pulse is rapid, and his skin is clammy. Kaname and Kyoko lug the limp boy to the infirmary, stepping carefully over the various bodies. Kyoko migrates back to class when the bell rings, leaving a stubborn Kana with her protector.
According to the nurse, Sousuke Sagara, super soldier, has caught the flu. A plain, everyday, ordinary flu. A flu that has managed to knock him on his backside. This is what he gets for eating so much junk, Kaname supposes, reviewing the morning's events.
. . .
Now that she thought about it, Sousuke hadn't looked too good when he arrived at school. The usually comb-defying was hair limp and greasy. His strict walk then lowered to a halfhearted limp. Finally, the usually menacing steel eyes were reduced to a lifeless grey.
Sousuke had acted funny as well. More like limp lettuce than anything else. He'd hardly blinked when Kana had opened her locker and a note fell out. Not a twitch when a total stranger walked up to her and asked Kaname for a date. It took a mob of high school riffraff to get Sagara go commando!
. . .
In light of this evidence, Chidori is no longer so surprised. Now she's just worried. Will Sousuke be okay? Will he have to go to the hospital? Will he be attacked while she's not looking?!
She strokes his hair both gently and uneasily. More questions fill her mind. How long was he sick? Why can't these army-types ever admit to weakness? Hasn't this guy ever heard of sick leave?!
Kaname sighs, all men are hopeless, Sousuke more than any of them. She should know this by now. A soft smile crosses her lips. He's hopeless, but that's just one reason why he's so cute. Maybe that's another she lov—LIKES—about him so much.
