The everyday life of Nervous Subject is not the best life that one could imagine. Almost daily, he is the test subject of the Beaker's cruel experiments and research, and sometimes... abuse. All of this, as it would to any sane human being, causes Nervous to doubt his self-worth and meaning. However, after various... rather strange happenings, Nervous finds that is far from truth.

1. Chapter 1

One day, Nervous walked over to the refrigerator to stuff his face. When he opened it, cockroaches came out of it. Nervous continued to stuff his face.

Loki ran over to Nervous and said,"What on Earth are you doing, boy!"

Nervous said,"Don't worry, Uncle Loki. I'll call an exterminator."

Circe and Loki were not really his uncle or aunt. They adopted him. Olive Specter neglected him. She was his biological mother. After the exterminator left, Loki did another experiment on Nervous as a punishment. Loki took Nervous over to The Electic and Enigmatic Energizer.

Loki said,"Nervous, undress."

Nervous said,"No! Please, Uncle Loki! I'm sorry, I-"

Loki said,"Nervous!"

Nervous said,"Okay, Uncle Loki."

Nervous undressed until he was nude.

Circe mumbled to herself, "I'm so sorry, Nervous."

Circe was a doctor, so she didn't like most of the things that Loki did to Nervous. Loki told her before they got married, that it was "for science". She didn't want Loki to be angry at her, so she accepted what he said. She knew what Loki was doing was wrong, but she was afraid to tell him. Loki pulled the handle on the side of the machine.

He said, "Step in, Nervous. Now."

Nervous stepped in the tub of water. Loki started the machine and Nervous saw the bolts of electricity. The machine began to electricute Nervous.

He screamed in pain, "AHHHHHHHHHHHH! UNCLE LOKI, PLEASE TURN IT OFF! IT BURNS! I'M BEGGING YOU! PLEASE! AHHHHHHH!"

Circe said to herself, "Oh no, he's going to go into shock and pass out! Loki has to stop this now!"

After 30 minutes, Loki turned off the machine. Nervous stepped out and collasped. He was lying on the floor twitching and his skin looked like coal.

Circe said, "Loki, those are, indeed, fourth-degree burns. This will result in extensive necrosis and permanent damage to all layers of skin. Fourtunatly, we don't have to amputate anything. I'll make a drug so the burns will disappear."

Loki said, "Wait, are you going to do about this situation?"

Circe said, "Oh yes, that."

Circe did CPR on Nervous until he regained conciousness. Loki went to read a book from a bookshelf in the house, while Circe made a drug to remove the burns. When she finished it, she walked over to Nervous. He was still lying on the floor. She kneeled down beside him.

She whispered to him, "Please forgive me, Nervous. I'm so sorry that this had to happen to you."

Nervous said in a soft voice, "Don't worry, Aunt Circe. It's not your fault."

Circe said, "No, I should have told him that he didn't need to do that. You didn't deserve this. No one does. The human body can only handle so much pain."

Nervous said, "Okay, Aunt Circe I forgive you. But this still isn't your fault."

Circe said, "Everything will be okay, honey. I promise." Circe injected him with the drug.
