This is a little poem about Edward's feelings for Roy.
I'm sorry if this is a super short one, which Ed will get over it, this tells us how Ed feels for Roy.

I hate you, but I love you
I hate the way you made me think about you and the hush things that has been effecting you and your life. It made me hate you even more. Even what you have made me go through in hell. You have showed me what hell looks like inside and out.
What war is really about. For lust of power or for total control over the country.
But this is not the reason why I hate you.
I hate you for making me feel uneasy.
When I felt your angrier, when you are lost in grief or want to revenge for a loss of a friend.
I can hear you crying, when you are hiding yourself in darkness. Away from the eyes of a caring and keeping them away from your weak side. So you act cold and heartless to those who care about you.
I hate you for what you have become.
A cold heartless bastard who wants the throne of a Fuher.
However, when I felt your arms wrapped around me. I could hear your true voice calling out for help. It made me feel safe and made me want to protect you from anything or anyone who could possibly take you down.
I felt proud to have you as, not as my superior officer, but as a father figure to me and to my brother. You taught us the ways of how we must fight for those who we care about, who we loved, and who are wanting to life on their lives for the future.
Above all that, the only thing that I love about you. Is you being a king for your people and willing to protect them from any harm that comes in your way.
I love you for being just you...
The most thing I ever loved is when you hold me close in your warm chest, when we lay on your bed, saying warm words that made my heart soar through my chest. It made me love you even more and made me want to be with you forever.
Roy Mustang, you are my flame that keeps me going through the toughest challenges, and I, Edward Elric, am your light that keeps the darkness at bay.
